We were pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of all areas in this Hilton property. The staff was friendly and helpful. This hotel is a nice addition for a small town.

The stay was emaculate. The staff was great. The room was tidy and clean. The breakfast was good. I communicated well with the staff. It was a little cool on the weather. The motel it self was tidy and clean as well. Thanks to the Hampton my staff as always was great.

My husband and I spent 3 nights at this Hampton while in town for a family wedding. The location is next to a highway, so there is some road noise, but not bad. The grounds around the hotel have simple landscaping, and parking was a bit crowded because some work was being done on part of the lot so spaces were cordoned off. Check-in was friendly and efficient in an attractive lobby. The King Studio room had a wet bar with microwave and fridge, and there was a small seating area with couch and 2 ottomans. The room overall was clean, although the bathroom showed obvious signs of wear, and the shower needed to be re grouted. Strangely, the drapes in the room windows were hung in such a way that you could only open them halfway, blocking out part of the view and light. One wall lamp next to the bed was missing a light bulb. The bed was comfortable, although the top bedding was light without a blanket or comforter, just a thin bedspread and sheet. Wifi worked well. Breakfast in the morning included standard fare, both hot and cold. Although there was a container for hot oatmeal, it held grits the first morning and nothing the 2nd day. There was no decaf tea available. One positive was the availability of fresh fruit (apples, oranges, bananas) all day long in the lobby and fresh cookies in the afternoon. When we travel to this area again to see family, we will probably stay here only because there are very few options in the Waynesboro area unless you travel quite a distance to a larger city. Updated Review: My husband and I spent another 3 nights here while visiting family. Staff again were helpful and friendly, and our room was spacious with everything we needed. However, there were multiple downsides this time: the building was being repainted outside so all of the windows were covered with plastic, the bed had very flat bed pillows and an uncomfortable mattress that could use replacing. There was a broken luggage stand in the room (later fixed by staff), and very few electrical outlets. The grout around the shower needed a good scrubbing, and I didn't want to walk around the room in bare feet because the carpet didn't look or feel veryclean and I found a bottle cap left by a previous guest on the floor. The bedside clock had been unplugged, and I had to get down on the floor and reach behind furniture to plug it back in. Housekeeping missed our room on the 2nd day, so we had to ask for clean towels. The free breakfast bar was well maintained the first 2 mornings, but on the 3rd day it was depleted when we showed up one hour before it closed. Most of the food was gone, coffee urn was empty, bananas were bruised and overripe, tables and food counters were dirty, oatmeal container empty, bread/muffin bins almost empty and only 2 tea bags left. The attendant came out from the back room once to bring fresh coffee and then disappeared and never came back. Guests were wandering through, and you could hear them complaining. If there was another decent hotel nearby, we would definitely stay elsewhere when returning to the Waynesboro area to see family, particularly with the relatively overpriced nightly rates this Hampton Inn charges.

My family and I chose to do business with your hotel for a family event. We reserved about 15 rooms the weekend of August 9-11, 2024. My family and I chose to do business with your hotel for a family event. We reserved about 15 rooms the weekend of August 9-11, 2024. I checked into room 307 on August 8th around 3:45pm - Keya checked me in . Keya and the room was wonderful. However my niece checked in around 1:00am Friday morning. She was planning to stay with me Thursday night because she would be getting in so late Thursday/early Friday and she’d only reserved for Friday and Saturday nights. Upon arrival my niece told the front desk staff/night auditor that she would not be checking in until friday and that she would be staying with me the night. The night auditor pulled up her reservation and said since it was technically Friday he would go ahead and check her in. My niece explained she didn’t want that because she was only prepared to pay for Friday and Saturday night. She’d also made arrangements to stay with me Thursday night (it was 1am, but it was still Thursday’s business). The gentlemen told her she would not have to pay for Thursday since it was “technically” Friday. After her conversation with the night auditor, my niece came to my room a little confused because the night auditor checked her in and he didn’t give her a receipt (she'd paid for Saturday night). I’m sure your records will support that she paid in advance for Friday night and paid for Saturday night when she got in Friday morning. Since she was confused, I went down to get more information as I’m sure you can see if you pull the video for August 8th between 1-2am. I went down and initially the gentleman was sitting at the table watching television in the dining area, he got up and came to the desk and I explained the situation and our confusion about what transpired. The night auditor again explained that he checked her in, but she was not paying for Thursday night because it was technically Friday. I said, “are you sure, I’ve never had that happen?” He again explained that she would not be charged for Thursday night only Friday and Saturday. I then said - are you sure, because she can stay with me tonight (I had two double beds and it was just me). He responded (in a condescending tone - I assume because I was still questioning him), “Listen I told her and I told you she is essentially getting this night free because it is technically Friday and she’s just checking in early.” I said, “okay, okay, i just wanted to be sure” and He said again, with a great deal of contempt “I SAID”.... I could see he was angry so I jumped in and said okay...thank you and put my hand out to shake his hand (which he very nastily - reciprocated). The issue here is ... my cousin, called me this past Saturday to say her card was charged for neice’s Thursday night stay. 1. The Night Auditor said Thursday night was free and as a representative for your company we took his word ( not to mention he was adamant about it and offended when I tried to get clarification). 2. My cousin's did not stay at your hotel and her card was removed from the room the minute my niece took ownership. Why was she charged? After talking with the hotel they have offered no solutions or reversal of charges. I understand mistakes happen, but when they do they should be rectified as soon as possible. Why are we being penalized for something your night auditor authorized and you can easily verify by watching the video from that night.
