“A great get-away town”
More interesting than the average tourist town, with many shops offering works by local artists, and also considerably variety of restaurants.

“Lots of potential!”
Beautiful setting and “grand old lady”! The home surely was beautiful and stately at one time. It now needs a lot of tender loving care and a huge infusion of money. “Disappointing Stay at Galena Inn, Galena, IL”
My husband and I stayed there in September. We went with friends expecting a well kept and maintained Inn. It was neither. It looks old and unkept. The grounds need tons of work. The balconies are full of cobwebs. The inside is just ok. No room cleaning the two nights we were there. No visible pers… more
