Great stay. Clean, comfortable and large updated rooms. Kimberly, the desk clerk, was very friendly and helpful! Good breakfast with many options. Very nice place.

We stopped at this Hampton Inn because we were headed back to Georgia from a long road trip. We are Honors Members and stay at many Hiltons. Usually I don't write reviews because they are primarily all the same. Meaning a clean room with a nice breakfast at a reasonable price. This one made me want to congratulate them on being above and beyond. A nice note was left on my bed with a message from housekeeping. Plenty of towels in the bathroom. Room temp was perfectly cool on arrival. Breakfast was really good too. I could have eaten 10 of the blueberry scones!

I would take a pause about staying at the Hampton Inn in Richmond, Ky. I say this based on my personal experience with the staff and the overall lack of trustworthiness with this hotels staff. My wife and I had to travel from South Carolina to Michigan because our oldest son suddenly died while shoveling snow in Michigan. Richmond, Ky is about the halfway point. So we packed up the car for an extended stay to help family sort out everything after a loved one dies. We did specifically pack some overnight bags so we didn't have to unload the entire car. We also took our memory foam pillows with expensive silk pillow covers on them. One of my other sons made the reservation for us and paid for it in advance. When we arrived at the Hampton Inn, we were greeted and we paid a fee for our well behaved 40lb dog. We took our overnight bags in along with our pillows. The pillows and cases go for $130 each. In our despair over losing our oldest son, we left the room the next morning and inadvertently left our pillows in the room. When we arrived at our destination in Michigan and unloaded the car, we realized we left the pillows in the room at the Hampton Inn in Richmond, Ky. I called the hotel in question and the young man who answered knew of the pillows and assured me he would put a note on them as they were in his sight (supposedly). I told him I had no idea how long we would be up north and he said no problem the pillows would be there when we come back. After several weeks, I called the hotel to let them know we would be coming and to make sure they had the pillows. The person I talked to this time said he had not seen them but would go look. He came back on the phone and said he didn't find them but he would reach out to others and call me back. He never called back. So the next day, I called and talked to a lady who said she knew nothing about them but she would check and call me back. She never called back either. The next day, I called once again. I talked to a young lady who described the pillows to me. She said they were king size memory foam pillows with gray Blissy silk covers on them. I said yes and she said she remembered them and would talk to the Head Housekeeper to find out where they were at and she would call me back in 5-10 minutes. This young lady actually did call me back but said no one knew where they were at and she would keep an eye out for them. Well, it's been a week since then and I haven't heard a thing. So, what happened to the pillows which two employees know of and could describe. My theory is an employee from the Hampton Inn of Richmond, Ky is now sleeping on some very comfortable and expensive pillows. Therefore, in the future, I will stay right across the street at either the Country Inn or Comfort Suites which are $20-$30 cheaper and whose pet fees are about $30 cheaper. I encourage all of you to stay at the Country Inn or Comfort Suites. Having stayed at these two and the much more expensive Hampton Inn in Ruchmond, Ky, you don't lose anything by staying at the two less expensive hotels. The quality of all three is the same. Plus the Country Inn and Comfort Suites have two restaurants in the same parking area.
