Quick summary: very comfortable, quiet room, beautifully appointed. Lovely outdoor sitting porches. Great on-site restaurant. No elevator in multi-story historic building, so people with disability issues should call the hotel to advise. Street parking. We stayed here two nights while visiting the area. It was a delightful stay, but with some minor suggestions for improvement. Up front - this is a beautiful historic hotel, with period furnishings, but no elevator. Call to ask if that will fit your needs. To my knowledge, there was no one available to help with the luggage. We were fine, but our room was on the third floor of a high-ceiling Victorian mansion, and get that about this type of property. We stayed in room 309, with a very comfy king bed, good pillows and bed linens. IMHO, the coverlet could have been a bit larger - my husband and I were sometimes fighting over it through the night. There is also a fireplace (we did not use), loveseat sofa, bench, and flat screen TV with good channels. Big chest of drawers and tight tables with drawers, so guests can really settle in, i.e. not have everything on top or just working out of a suitcase. There was an array of outlets for your devices on one side of the bed, none on the other, but there were a number of outlets around the room and bathroom. Nice bathroom with a big jacuzzi bathtub/shower combination. The jacuzzi was lovely and vigorous - as close as I want to get to white water rafting. Disclaimer: it is a high-walled tub, and could use some grab bars. Nice room to spread out your toiletries, with two sinks, one more like a bar sink. The inn provides shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. Bring your own body lotion. In-room: fridge, microwave, coffee maker. I'm not sure if there was room service - we did not get towels refreshed or room tidied up. Perhaps you have to ask? I'm fine with not having the sheets changed for just two nights, but it would have been nice to have had the towels refreshed, coffee set ups replaced, etc. HVAC and wifi work well. There are lovely sitting areas inside and out, including shaded verandas. Breakfasts and meals at dinner can be had inside or out in good weather - delightful, overlooking a garden-like area. Breakfast is very tasty with hot and cold items, e.g. breakfast quiche-like items, cold meats and cheeses, hard boiled eggs, instant oatmeal, fresh fruits, juice. It would have been useful to clue the guests in that the bread for toast is in a bread box (i.e. not out in the open to view,) that you and to get the hot water for the instant oatmeal from the urn in the lobby. We dined at the restaurant one night. I forget what we had, but it was delish. Friendly, professional waitstaff. My only real suggestion is that the staff provide more information on check-in about the amenities and services of the inn, such as how to get the room serviced, if requested, etc. Also: the afternoon we checked in, I saw a couple having wine on the veranda. Lovely idea!! Where do you get it? The guests supplied the answer: you have go into the dining room, towards the back, and they can help you. There is no obvious bar, which is fine, but give us a clue at check-in, please. Also, IMHO, the dining room could use a microwave for some breakfast items. Some hot items should have been warmer. Since guests largely serve themselves, it would be useful. So - we'd be delighted to stay here again - it was quite lovely. We know are few quirks now, to ask a few questions, and how to get a glass of wine on a sublime autumn afternoon.

“Large Group Luncheon- Wonderful!”

We held our Cancer Survivors' Celebration luncheon at the Terrace. The event was beautiful! The venue is absolutely charming and the food was wonderful! I am so thankful to Belinda who coordinated everything seamlessly for us! I can't recommend the Terrace Inn enough!

“New ownership brings changes, some good, some not”

Historical, quaint place with a great staff! The type of guests provides a pleasant, relaxing atmosphere. This year, they changed from breakfast to coffee, muffins, banana, oranges so if you like any protein, you have to travel to a restaurant in town. A game changer for us.
