Fun hotel with an attached private club. Friendly staff. Rooms are small but there is an attached porch outside. Plenty of parking and a short walk into town where there are numerous restaurants, bars and attractions. Only nine or ten available rooms so plan in advance!

My wife and I stayed at the Inn, on a Monday as an overnight on a 2 day wine country winery self tour. We were only a little disappointed to find that the well regarded private club was closed on Monday and Tuesday, but truth be told, we didn't miss the alcohol because of the wine tastings of the morning and afternoon. However, the next time, we will book when the club is open. We are both retired and mobility impaired (we require canes for hills and uneven ground, and the driveway to the Inn is VERY steep) and we booked a handicapped friendly room. The room was very nice and very clean and had the most comfortable 'hotel bed' we have slept in for a long time. The room was a bit small, but more than adequate for an overnight. The view from the room of the river was very nice, and though minimal, the staff was friendly and helpful. The shower was modern and there was plenty of hot water. There is something that you should know if you visit Washington, Missouri, which we were not aware of before. Many of the restaurants and bars are closed on Monday, which is very inconvenient. Others, like Sugarfire BBQ (two long blocks from the Inn),close early on Mondays. They were out of several items when we entered, and ran out of all main courses before we left. Our meal was very good, however. This would have been a 5 star review but for 2 minor problems. Less important was the AC/heater unit was very loud, although we had little trouble falling asleep. More aggravating was the fact that the entry code for our room was sent to my email after 10 a.m. on the day of check in. We were already on the road when it was sent. As I did not bring my laptop, I didn't actually see it until our return home. This may not be a problem for some, but I don't have a smart phone connected to my email. So we had to find staff to get the entry code to our room. This inconvenience could have been avoided if it had been sent the day before, or sent by text to my 'dumb' phone, as they had that number as well from our reservation. Those 2 quibbles aside, we will happily stay at the Inn the next time we are in or around the Washington, Missouri area. But we will be sure to schedule our trip for a Wednesday through Saturday.

“Paper thin walls”

While the self check-in and check out was simple (similar to Airbnb) the only other thing favorable was its location to downtown. While the self check-in and check out was simple (similar to Airbnb) the only other thing favorable was its location to downtown. If you need to work, the WiFi is equivalent to dial up internet, constantly losing sync. Couldn’t access many sites! Unable to upload a simple PDF only 76k. Walls are paper thin and spent many nights up late listening to our neighbors tv or talking all night long. Cute place but could never stay here again.
