I am a physician (Neonatologist taking care of sick preterm small babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care) working in St. Luke's CHI Lufkin and I regularly stay in Main Stay suites in Lufkin and I do that every other week staying 8 nights, so I spend more than half the year with you for the past 3 years. I can tell you with confidence that I have an excellent experience in all of my stays and even when there were infrequent issues with lack of hot water or non working elevator or missing my room cleaning, the manager, staff and cleaning manager immediately and promptly get it fixed and are apologetic and have always shown excellent demeanor and always greet everyone with smiling face. I would like in particular to give a golden star to one of your rising staff which has been promoted to a manager "Monica". She is an amazing human being, kind, compassionate about her work and work very hard to do excellence in her profession and always with a smiling and welcoming face. I would like to mention one situation that I have gone through with her. One day in the morning as I was leaving the Hotel, I found out that my car would not start which terified me because I could be called in an Emergency and could not be on time with my car not working. I then returned to the hotel and Monica was the receptionist at that time. I explained to her the situation with my car and asked her if she can call Uber for me to get to the hospital. Her response was very surprising to me in a good way. She said Uber might not be here for 30-40 minutes and she offered me her car for me to go to the hospital promptly so I can get there before I hot called. I thanked her for her kindness and explained to her that I might not be able to get her the car back by 3 pm when I know that her shift is finished because I will not be able to leave the hospital till 5 pm but also told her, that I will call my wife to come from Houston to get my car fixed and to bring her car back to her by 3 pm hopefully. She kindly said, not to worry and bring the car whenever we can. This is what I can tell that Monica provides excellence in care when you go above and beyond your duties day in and day out and situation and other like this prompted ne to recommend your Main Stay Suites to many of my hospital physician colleagues who travel like myself from Houston. This resulted in much more buisness to your hotel and spreading of excellent reputation about your hotel and your staff that money cannot buy in advertisement. I also would like to express my deepest appreciation to Kristen the cleaning manager. She works very hard making sure that all rooms needed to be cleaned are done in a timely and professional manner especially when I have long days and sometimes long nights in the hospital and would like to return back to a clean room. I remember one of the times that the room was not cleaned before I came back from the hospital despite she has mentioned that to the cleaning lady that day. Once I returned back and saw her and told her about it, she was very apologetic and left everything she was doing and got the room cleaned by herself promptly and professionally. She also, kept on regularly asking me regarding the cleanliness of the room and if there is anything missing. Since I spend more than half the year in your hotel, I observed more often than less often your hotel is full with guests and I understand that it can be a very long and hard working days but despite that Kristen and her staff do an amazing and excellent job cleaning all the rooms that they suppose to clean and greet everyone in a very profession way. Again, Kristen have always carried herself in a very professional way providing excellence in care above and beyond. Lastly, but not least you have an amazing hotel manager Rachel. I cannot praise her enough for her excellent and professional attitude. She always lead by example. She is a very busy Bee. Always around and always on top of any issue and hot it fixed promptly and professionally and always go above and beyond to please all of the hotel customers. You are blessed have such an amazing "A" team that run your hotel. You should be proud of and reward them generously for an excellent job every minute of every day. As a very busy Neonatologist, I do not have a lot of time to spend writing all these details but I strongly felt that it is worth the time and effort to writecthat detailed comment for such an amazing group of people. Great place to stay! Staff are friendly. Hotel is clean and well equipped I especially enjoyed having a full kitchen. Will definitely stay here again
