Onward journey towards the land of ksars and dinosaurs, El Dahar, a spectacular lunar landscape where erosion along the Tertiary and Quaternary rock systems has created a landscape that in some places is very similar to the planet Mars. Tour of the mystical villages of Chenini and Guermassa, where a Berber community has kept its roots intact. The two villages are built on top of ridges in the form of fortified citadels and command breathtaking views. Next stop will be Ksar Hadada to visit the ghorfas, which were ancient granaries. Lunch. In the afternoon, we'll head over to Ksar Ouled Soltane, the largest and best preserved castle in the region. Onward to Douiret, the last bastion and control point of the caravan trade, which came from Tripolitan lands. Arrival at our accommodation composed of a group of rural houses, which used to serve as dwellings and barns for bygone residents. These houses are full of magic and ancient stories. Important remarks

  • Tunisia is a Muslim country and the month of Ramadan is of major significance to its residents. During Ramadan, entertainment and alcohol will be restricted in most of the country. The sale of alcohol will be restricted in many places, although some establishments will offer alcohol for sale to tourists. During this period, local businesses may also have shorter opening hours.
  • The tours include cultural stops at local workshops so you can learn about the production of traditional crafts.
  • Triple rooms in Africa are generally rooms with twin beds or a double, in which a folding bed is installed to accommodate the third person. Due to the inconvenience this causes, we advise against using this option as far the possible.
  • Check-in time at the hotel on the day of arrival depends on each establishment, but in no case will it be before 3:00 p.m., unless otherwise indicated.
  • Accommodation will be either be in Kairouan, Hammamet, Sousse or Tunis, depending on hotel availability.
  • For outings with less than 4 people, the tour will be by private car combined with 4x4.
  • In periods of high demand, the tour might follow a different order than the one described in the itinerary, but this won't affect the content of the visits.
  • In periods of high demand, due to lack of hotel availability, overnight stays might be in a different city than the one described in the itinerary, as long as it's on the planned route.
  • Some sections of the itinerary include overnight stays at basic properties. In these cases, the rustic feel of the facilities is offset by the immersive experience of local culture.
  • The order of the itinerary may be altered for logistical reasons, without prior notice, but no scheduled trips will be cancelled (except in the case that adverse weather conditions prevent its realisation).
  • A credit card is considered a guarantee, so sometimes you will need one for check-in at hotels.
  • Prices are calculated based on admission fees to the sights as of the date of publication. If there is an increase in these prices, you will be promptly informed.
  • If you are a person with reduced mobility, please contact us to confirm the suitability of the trip.
  • Consult the necessary documentation to enter the destinations visited and for transit in the countries where air stopovers are made.
