Follow in the footsteps of the last Jedi on Ireland's Atlantic coast
The Star Wars location experts headed straight to Ireland to recreate their most spectacular scenes. One of the examples is Ahch-To, the remote ocean-covered planet where Rey meets Luke Skywalker. In fact, this location is actually the island of Skellig Michael, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It appears both in "The Force Awakens" and "The Last Jedi", the perfect location for filming and which plays a key role in this tour. Gaze in awe at these steep crags that tower over the Millennium Falcon, the fields where laser sword fights took place. In short, places defined as indescribable by Mark Hamill himself. At the end of the shoot, the actors were truly astounded by the picturesque villages and the hospitality of their people, as well as Ireland's photogenic Atlantic coast. You'll then drive through even more locations in the counties of Cork, Kerry and Clare to finish in the northernmost point of the country. Malin Head, featured on the cover of National Geographic in 2017, will be the perfect finishing touch to this intergalactic trail."May the Force be with you".
