Next to this port is the famous building of the Auditorio de Tenerife. It has a significant relevance in two categories: Cruise Passengers and in Fresh Fish caught. Funchal (Madeira)

The city´s name comes from the abundance of fennel (funcho) found on the island. It was an important shipping center during the 15th-17th centuries. It is one of the most beautiful cities in Portugal. It is a modern, cosmopolitan, rejuvenated city, well known for its many top class restaurants, stunning new 4 & 5 star hotels and warm climate all year round. The city itself is nestled in a great natural amphitheatre, facing the blue Atlantic with a backdrop of dramatic mountains. It is located in the stunning south of Madeira, on it’s sunniest coast amidst banana plantations and wonderful gardens. Funchal has also for many years been one of the Atlantic Cruise-ship’s main ports of call, with the Liner harbour right in the middle of the town. Once ashore, the cafés, restaurants and history that mark this famed capital are just a stroll away. Tourists in Funchal can also enjoy activities such as diving in the crystal-clear waters, surfing the waves, taking day excursions along the coast and through the eucalyptus smelling mountain woods.

Puerto del Rosario (Fuerteventura)

Puerto del Rosario is a town located in the northern part of the island of Fuerteventura and also its capital since 1835, in the province of Las Palmas (Canary Islands). Puerto del Rosario has a harbor front promenade, which has had recent enhancements. You will also find beautiful beaches, especially to the south of the capital. You will also be able to visit the museum which was once the home of the exiled poet Miguel de Unamuno, where you will find plenty of exhibitions, plays and concerts. Around the town you will find statues that form part of an open air exhibition and are produced during competitions that take place in the capital.

Guests who are unable to get to their muster stations independently (which could be down several flights of stairs because, in an emergency, lifts will not be available) due to a disability, health or mental capacity must be pre-registered for assistance to ensure we have sufficient support. Failure to provide this information could result in you being denied boarding at your own expense. For anyone bringing a mobility aid, such as a walking stick or walker, this is a recommended minimum requirement. *I'm unable to use stairs (I require an emergency evacuation chair). Caribbean fly-cruises are available from a range of UK airports, which vary by ship and cruise itinerary. Fly-Cruises starting or ending in Southampton to another destination only include the inbound or outbound flight to that destination, but also domestic flights can be offered if needed. Domestic Flights to/from Southampton - Domestic flights to/from Southampton from a range of UK departure points can be booked (if available). The fare includes a transfer between the airport and the cruise terminal and vice versa. If you would like to extend your holiday we can also help. For any of these options please Call 020 3499 5846

A flight confirmation should be sent to you via email when your flights are confirmed. If you are travelling on one of the dedicated charter flights you should receive this from 180 days prior to your departure. If you make any changes, such as upgrading your flight, a new confirmation will be issued straight away and you should receive this via email the following day. It contains both your flight and cruise ticket information and can be accessed by selecting E-Tickets from the "Travel Documents" menu. E-Tickets can be downloaded from My P&O Cruises and printed by you up to two days prior to departure. We advise that you print your E-Tickets as close to departure as possible as this will ensure they contain the most up to date information about your journey. It is important that you carry these with you as proof of onward travel is required to enter some countries.

Insurance*

It is mandatory for all UK guests to take out comprehensive travel insurance for their holiday. It is essential that you let your insurer know you are taking a cruise holiday. Your policy must include medical cover of £2 million minimum that includes cover for emergency evacuations and medical expenses related to COVID-19. You must also ensure your policy includes cover for repatriation, cancellation and curtailment and full cover for any and all pre-existing medical conditions worldwide, or as a minimum, in the countries you are due to visit.

You will be asked to confirm you have travel insurance at the terminal and you may be asked to evidence this. Unfortunately you will be denied boarding, at your own expense, if you have not arranged insurance. P&O Cruises has partnered with Holiday Extras to offer appropriate, comprehensive travel insurance cover for our holidays. To find out more, visit www.holidayextras.com/pocruises or phone 0800 093 3070 and quote PAOHX. Holiday Extras offer three levels of cover to choose from: bronze, silver and gold. All of these available options meet our minimum requirements for travel insurance.
