Salvador is a vibrant city where the heart of Brazilian culture beats, triggering all five senses at the drop of a hat. This city is a treasure trove of architecture with its Baroque buildings and colonial houses fronted by colourful facades. We'll also get the chance to marvel at the spectacular Iguazú Falls, which straddle three countries (Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay) and since 1986 have been a World Heritage Centre and one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Rio de Janeiro is another amazing city, standing in one of the most beautiful bays in the world and surrounded by mountains and the Atlantic Ocean. Salvador da Bahia
Breakfast. Next, visit the city passing through the Lower City, which is full of houses and beautiful landscapes bathed by the bay; the Church of Bonfim, a symbol of religious syncretism in Bahia and a place of pilgrimage. You will also visit the traditional neighborhoods, such as Ribeira and Montserrat, where the imposing fort of the same name is located. Finally, you will visit the Mercado Modelo, a traditional center for handicrafts produced in Bahia that expresses the multicultural aspect of the state. Rest of day free and overnight stay..
Salvador da Bahia
Breakfast. Half-day visit to the historic center of Salvador, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1985, which was completely rehabilitated in 1993. This historic center is the clear summary of colonial Brazil that brings together four neighborhoods: Terceiro de Jesús, Maciel, Largo do Pelourinho and Carmo. Located in the upper part of the city, the Pelourinho neighborhood, the historic heart of the city, encompasses most of Salvador's monuments (cathedrals, churches and convents), which we discover in its squares or cobbled streets. We visit the Cathedral, built in the 17th century, and considered a real work of colonial baroque, we continue with the church and convent of San Francisco, located in the Maciel neighborhood, the "golden" church with towers covered in monochrome tiles , which is notable for its interior decoration, one of the most beautiful examples of Brazilian Baroque. Salvador da Bahia - Rio de Janeiro
Breakfast. At the prearranged time, transfer to Salvador de Bahia Airport for the flight to Rio de Janeiro. Arrival and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay.
Rio de Janeiro
Breakfast. Visit three of Rio's historical sites and monuments; Corcovado, the historic center of Santa Teresa and the Tijuca Forest by jeep (admission included). Visit the famous Corcovado, which owes its name to the shape of the mountain over 700 meters high, which rises above the city and from where you can see Christ the Redeemer, opening his arms and symbolizing, beyond Rio, the tradition of good welcome and hospitality of the Brazilian people, with an incredible view of the city from the top. Then departure to Santa Teresa, a very charming district, preserving the characteristics of the old Rio, with large houses and historical buildings. Finally, visit the Tijuca Forest, the largest urban park in the world. Overnight stay.
Rio de Janeiro
Breakfast. In the morning, visit the Sugar Loaf and the main beaches of the South zone (Copacabana, Ipanema and Leblon) to have a panoramic view. Once on the Sugar Loaf Mountain, take the cable car to the top of Urca Mountain (220 meters high) to see from there spectacular views of the entire bay and its surrounding islands. From here, take the second cable car to the top of the Sugar Loaf (395 meters high), from where you will have a 360 degree view of the entire city, including Botafogo and Copacabana beaches. Rest of day free. Overnight stay.
Rio de Janeiro
Breakfast. Bike ride (approx. 4 hours) with a guide to visit the beach. Flamengo, historic center and Lapa, to see the Selaron staircase. On the way back, walk through Flamengo Park and to Copacabana beach. Rest of day free and accommodation.
Note: The meeting point is Velo Bike Shop in Rua. Francisco Otaviano 20 in Copacabana.
Rio de Janeiro - Iguazu
Breakfast. At the prearranged time, transfer to the Airport for the flight to Iguazu. Arrival and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay.
Iguazu Waterfalls
Breakfast. Half-day visit to the wonderful Iguazú Falls, included in the list of the New Seven Wonders of Nature and located on the border that divides Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay. This location allows visitors to have the opportunity to admire the natural spectacle from different angles. Arrival at the National Park to enjoy the panoramic view of the falls, the contrast between the green of the vegetation and the white waterfalls caused by its force is very charming and walk along the trails to appreciate the landscapes that the park offers. Return to the hotel and Overnight stay.
