The best known island is Oahu, where the city of Honolulu, capital of Hawaii is found, and the only real city within the islands. It is a blend of Hawaiian culture with the comforts and amenities of the 21st century. It is also known for its great waves to practice surfing in the North Shore. Big Island, the newest and largest of the islands, has 11 of the 13 climate zones of the world, from white sandy beaches to snowy mountains. It is quite green and natural. Many of the major tourist attractions require long walks and there is not as much hotel infrastructure as the previous two. It has few large sandy beaches but its main attraction is the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, a national volcano park with several interesting activities to do. Kilauea Volcano is situated in the park, one of the most active in the world, so it is very common to see lava flowing.
