Breakfast. Full-day excursion with local guide to Furnas. Visit the 'Lago' and the 'Caldeiras', where the famous 'cocido' is prepared, and discover the Furnas Environmental Interpretation Centre (admission included). Lunch at a local restaurant to savour the typical 'cocido' stew. Next stop (admission included) is the Terra Nostra Botanical Garden. Return journey to Ponta Delgada along the north coast to see the tea plantation and the Santa Iria viewpoint. Accommodation.

Sete Cidades - Lagoa do Fogo
Breakfast. Full-day excursion with local guide to Sete Cidades and Lagoa do Fogo. Visit pineapple plantations, which are grown in greenhouses to encourage their growth. We'll then continue our journey to the Vista do Rei viewpoint Afterwards, we'll make our way down into the cratered Sete Cidades valley, passing by green and blue lakes before continuing on to Lake Carvao. Lunch at a local restaurant. We'll then head to Lagoa do Fogo, located at an altitude of 900 metres, making short stops at Ribeira Grande and Caldeira Velha to admire the magnificent view. Return journey to Ponta Delgada. Accommodation.
