We really enjoyed our stay at Dickenson Bay Oasis Antigua Village. The grounds are lovely and staff worked on maintaining the landscaping throughout our stay. We walked past mango trees and an avocado tree and had hummingbirds and banaquit birds visit our balcony every day. The location is terrific, only a minute walk from the beach. The pool was clean and refreshing and the beach was beautiful. The beaches in Antigua are all public so locals use the water but the chairs and umbrellas in front of Antigua Village are for guests only. The property has no official restaurant or bar but Salt Plage is located right next door and was open every day from 7am to 11 pm. Also, don't miss Kon Tiki- a floating bar offshore! You can flag down a ride in a boat or just swim out. Although cash is required, they take wet money too. Each unit is individually decorated so yours may not match the posted pictures. We thought it added to the fun to look at everyone's balcony decor and compare. Security is visible at all times. They have a station near the check in area and also watch the beach. The circulate at night too and we saw them every night by the gate to the parking lot when we returned after dinner. We had an evening flight to return home and the property manager was very helpful. Our unit was going to be occupied by another guest that day so we had to leave our room but he gave us the key to a different unit so that we could store our luggage and use the pool and beach until it was time to go. That was definitely above and beyond! Overall we truly enjoyed our home base. If we come back to Antigua we would definitely stay here again!

“Perfectly relaxing resort - perfect for couples and families”

This was a marvelous experience from start to finish! Our studio was spacious, clean, comfortable, and with a lovely view of the courtyard (and a sliver of beach!). The beach was steps away and it was marvelous. I know the resort doesn’t control the beach but it was impeccably maintained and the water was perfect. This resort does not have an onsite restaurant. We did not rent a car so made heavy use of Salt Plage and Casa Roots restaurants nearby; there is a very spacious and well-equipped kitchen so I recommend a grocery run if you’d like to cook meals/have breakfasts. They have a cadre of recommended taxi drivers (shout-out to Mr Emery! He was fantastic!). This is an excellent resort for families and couples who aren’t looking for a loud, overly-programmed, or Sandals experience. Our trip was perfectly relaxed, unfussy, and with gorgeous, clean, and well-appointed rooms.

First of all we would not hesitate to return! Our host was gracious and very helpful. They were very responsive to our needs. Dickerson Bay and the beach are so close you can see and hear the waves. It is a lovely community in Antigua Villages and it is nice to meet your neighbours. Several happened to be Canadian like us. The unit itself was lovely with a great view overlooking the pool. We found it very comfortable. We didn’t have any issues of note. We bought groceries and most times had our breakfast in and several dinners. We stayed seven nights. We spent time and the beach and at the pool which is lovely. Always clean as is the area. Felt safe and there is security that walk about. The unit itself We chose to rent a car to explore Antigua. There are two restaurants there, Salt Plage, which is great for breakfast and lunch. This particular beach can get a little busy because of the sandals and also when the cruise ships come in this is where they bring a lot of the tourists. But there was never any issue. We thoroughly enjoyed this beach. Since we rented a car we were able to explore the island. It was my fourth time in Antigua and my partner’s first time. Things on the list to do include: Dickinson Bay Beach; lunch at Casa Roots then spend the rest of the day on their beach which is beautiful; Darkwood and Ffryes beach. We had lunch at Sheer rocks which is right beside Coco Bay Resort and Beach. Restaurants that we thoroughly enjoyed include Casa Roots (tried the cockles), Salt Plage, Garden grill (is a must for Sunday brunch), Weatherall's has a very nice breakfast and is never busy. OJ’s is on Johnson Beach just past Darkwood. Catherine’s restaurant is on Pigeon Beach in Falmouth Harbour and is a lovely area. Check out the mega yachts here. We explored Nelson‘s backyard and of course went to Shirley Heights, which is typically busy on a Sunday. Can also go on a Thursday. The sunsets are beautiful. I love Antigua and all it has to offer, including the beaches, the food, and the people are lovely. We certainly shall return.

“Room 4S”

The views from the room were amazing! The air conditioning was not sufficient for this heat but that is our only complaint. The room was nice and clean and Antigua was absolutely beautiful!
