We’ve been to numerous all inclusive resorts throughout the Caribbean and I have to say this one is our favorite so far. It’s smaller and more intimate than some of the large scale resorts we’ve been to, but it’s big enough where you don’t feel like you’re being crowded or enclosed. The rooms are beautiful and very well kept. The food and drink are excellent! The location is absolutely stunning and the beach is awesome! The staff is so welcoming, kind and fun! We loved our activities director Tyrian Rigby. This young man made sure everyone was having a blast and no one felt left out of any activity. He always checked on us and other guests and not only kept us very entertained, but he was great at giving us info about the island and just a very easy guy to talk with. I highly recommend the Pineapple Beach Club and we will most definitely be returning. Make sure to book all your off resort excursions through G Man.

After our delayed flight and speedy taxi from the airport we arrived at the PBC reception, where we were given a cold towel and a rum punch, which we needed. After an easy check in Clinton grabbed our cases and we were off in a buggy, having a little guided tour before arriving at our room 822. Clinton showed us the room and we were blown away by the view, we were in an ocean view room and what a view it was, just amazing!! We went to Guest services to sort our week out with trips and restaurant bookings. For a good hour we just had some drinks and admired the view of the beach and sea. As the resort wasn’t that busy we were lucky enough to have dinner at topaz a couple of times as a à la carte. We booked pineapple grill one evening, but found the food ok, but the service poor, we were just given a salad which was nothing like we asked for. The Italian was the same, no member of staff to greet us when we arrived or when we left, food good though, such a shame, we also waited 45 minutes for the starters to come which was verging on unacceptable. The buffet was always good and the white party bbq food was very good. We did two trips, Stingray city where the boat picked us up from the beach, this was great fun and a great couple of hours. The other one was the mystic Catamaran, this was probably the highlight of our week, picked up by cab, taken to St John’s. We had Captain Andy and his crew, they made it great fun, with a mix of music and drinks ( only alcohol after snorkelling). He made the tour Interesting and funny, the food was great and the drinks flowed. We did some hotel stops on the way back in the catamaran and a beautiful beach where a couple got engaged. This way you saw more stunning beaches on the Caribbean side. We booked it through G man on the beach and found it great value for money. Other things we liked about the hotel was the coffee shop, always found the staff friendly and the cookies yummy, nearly every morning we were met by Nicole to get seated for breakfast and served by Kim, these two are a credit to PBC and were very friendly and efficient. The outhouse and pelican was also good for snacks. The evening entertainment is pretty low key, but it was nice to people watch and listen to music. Joel is a great barman and would remember your drinks and was constantly on the go. Credit to for the sea weed removal guys who were out most mornings, getting the sea weed off the beach, they worked hard in such heat but they did a great job. The slight down side of the resort is the infinity pool which is great to look at and be in, but after midday it seemed to be full of guests, who would play their own music and constantly drink, they got louder and louder as the day went on. The no music/ phone sign was ignored and speaking to other English guests it was a bit menacing We had a great week and would possibly return in the future.

An absolutely enjoyable holiday, but not the 4⭐️ resort we had hoped for. 70% of the staff are lovely, 30% are miserable & unwelcoming. Our room was clean & comfortable. The buffet restaurant is OK, as are the AI drinks. The sand & sea are superb. The Pelican grill is described as offering “Antigua flavours” on the website. We were disappointed to be offered burgers, hotdogs, pizza, chicken wings, fries, onion rings etc….That said, the food we did have from there was very good. We visited Guest Services on our first day & booked the 2 included AI restaurants. When we arrived at the Pineapple Grill for our reservation we were told they weren’t open! We did visit the Italian restaurant, but were unimpressed with the food, ambiance & service. We visited the stingrays thanks to booking with G Man on the beach. As others have said, some guests find it acceptable to play their music loudly for all to hear. This should be monitored by the staff & stopped. It is not up to other guests to highlight these issues. Hotel staff , of which there are many around the site, should address this themselves. Nightly entertainment is mediocre,& there is no escape if you’d like a quiet drink of an evening as the only late night bar is the venue for the entertainment. The coffee shop serves lovely hand crafted drinks, though the service there was variable. Some staff were friendly & obliging, others were rude & miserable. Overall, we did have a relaxing holiday, but I wouldn’t recommend the hotel.

Overall my group enjoyed our stay. Our rooms were convenient, resort was not crowded at all, and it was easy to get around. The resort is on the Atlantic side but we enjoyed swimming and snorkeling from the water sports shack. Facilities: clean and okay. Recently redone but not great work. Tiles did not meet wall, shower head small (think freshman dorm style). Beds were comfortable and AC worked great. No beach service but two outside bars that were easily accessible. Beaches were cleaned daily and plenty of towels and chairs. While we didn’t use there are 6 pickleball courts, 2 tennis courts, and a fitness room. There were also ping pong, billiards, and a library with books and board games. Food: what one would expect for an all-inclusive. We did visit the Orchid and was very disappointed. Two from our group ordered steak and neither was cooked correctly. Staff was unwilling or unable to correct this. In our opinion nothing was served worth the additional $50 per person. Our best meal was at the Pineapple Grill. Catch of the day was red snapper which was seasoned well. Mango cheesecake was delicious. Staff: Miguel from the water sports hut (hobie cat, snorkel, paddleboard) had by far the most personality of everyone. The servers, especially at the Pelican Snack Bar, appeared annoyed each time we placed an order. Lots of time we had to wait for a staff member to finish a conversation with other staff or a phone call on a cell to be served. The Agua Bar and the Mongoose did not always offer the same drinks. The staff did not create an environment of enjoyment at all. Excursion: we booked a half day snorkel to the Caribbean side through the resort. It was a great experience with stops at different islands. We saw sea turtles and stingrays. We walked to Devil’s Bridge from the resort, which was quite easy (our group had no mobility issues). I would return for the scenery but will not be booking at this particular resort due to the overall environment the staff created.
