I stayed here from March 19-24 for my 79th birthday. It is a dated and quaint place to stay. I had room C104 corner. Absolutely great and right on the water. “Lovely and friendly”

This is a lovely friendly unpretentious hotel with the bonus of being right on the beach. Many of our fellow guests were returners which is always a good sign. “Wonderful location”

Thoroughly enjoyed our three week stay. The hotel has the best location on the beach, five minute walk to Rockley beach and a twenty minute walk to the Gap. “Avoid on site restaurant”

Great hotel location and staff. However beware the onside restaurant. They tried to overcharge by $80 at dinner. Yes, guests at Blue Orchids Beach Hotel have highlighted that: We had booked a room for a week at sister property Coral Mist a year before, but upon arrival were told we were staying at Blue Orchids next door. Not happy. The room given had an obstructed view of the grounds and ocean to the right, so after checking again, were offered a room closer to the water with a better view. Had a lovely room with a nice kitchen and everything we would need for a nice week. Had brought some food staples with us (coffee, crackers, etc.) but walked to Massey supermarket (about 1 mile away) for beer, wine, food. The selection was extermely limited so we didn't buy much food. Not at all what I expected for a big grocery store, but what we bought provided breakfast and lunch all week. We ate out for dinners. Always got a lounger on the beach though we did secure them around 7 am. You may not get one after 11 am or so, since they are all taken by that point we found. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating, especially the property manager who was great. We would definitely return to this hotel and request the same room, building. It was wonderful.
