This is our second stay at this hotel. We are divers and need to say how brilliant Guillaume,Yasmine, Mario,Kevin and Licinio are at the dive center. They led our amazing dives over 2 weeks there. The staff at the dive centre are fabulous and took great care of our equipment and us. A huge thank you guys your brilliant and made our holiday. Thanks also to best server Nataly in the Italian restaurant Anira buffet lunch is smiley, friendly and re tops up water. Aldina best coffee and very helpful. These are the stand out staff for us but all staff from garders, room house keepers, bar staff, restaurant staff, reception and entertainment are all spot on and brilliant 🤗

We spent a week here, travelling with TUI Transfer from the airport and check in was good. We had a drink in the bar then went to our room in block 6, our luggage was already delivered. We spent a week here, travelling with TUI Transfer from the airport and check in was good. We had a drink in the bar then went to our room in block 6, our luggage was already delivered. The room was great, clean and spacious, plenty of hangers and space for everything. We found the air con/fan a bit confusing. By the end of the 1st day we had found our way around, its a big hotel. Food was perfect in the main dinning room for breakfast and dinner. We had lunch in the beach side restaurant, on the 1st day there was too many birds on the food but this stopped from the 2nd day. Drink service in both restaurants was good, once we had to wait a little longer than we would have liked. We went to the Italian restaurant the food was okay self service for starter & desert, the staff were good. we also ate at Krystal, the service was exceptional as was the food. We spent the days on the beach very few people used it. The sea was very ruff and took us both off our feet. My husband lost his glasses even with a band to keep them in place, the life guards did a fantastic job of finding them.. Thank you so much! The pool areas never seamed too busy, we nipped to the pool bar for a cool down and have a drink most days. We walked the beach way to Santa Maria, it is better to walk to the Hilton, cut through and walk on the board walk. We didn't go to the evening shows, not our thing, it can be a bit chilly at night in the bars. Most staff were very courteous but not over chatty, we found that staff were moved around so you never got a connection with bar staff, which we have done in other hotels. As we had a late flight home we used the shower rooms, there can be a que. We had a great relaxing stress free holiday . Not sure we would go back due the long flight and not too much to do on the Island, t the hotel was perfect and would highly recommend it

Here’s a balanced review that reflects the main points of your complaint: We are currently 10 days into our 2-week honeymoon stay and, unfortunately, this has not lived up to the standards we expected from a 5-star hotel or from previous stays with RIU. While many staff work extremely hard and are friendly, the hotel appears understaffed, resulting in long queues at bars and delays in service. The dining experience has been particularly disappointing, with food stations often left empty and food labels frequently missing or incorrect. This is not only frustrating but potentially concerning for guests with allergies or dietary requirements. We have also experienced repeated issues with room key cards failing, worn and damaged pool towels, and a lack of response to maintenance requests submitted through the app. Some areas of the hotel are beginning to look tired and in need of refurbishment, and there has been an unpleasant sewage smell around the entertainment area on several occasions. As returning RIU guests, we chose this hotel for our honeymoon based on previous positive experiences, so the overall lack of attention to detail has been particularly disappointing. Whilst we’ve still tried to enjoy our holiday, the experience has fallen well below what we would expect from a 5-star resort. We hope management takes guest feedback seriously and addresses these issues to restore the standards associated with the RIU brand.
