We stayed at this colonial 2 storie-house for 2 nights, so we basically used it for showering, change clothing and come back to sleep at night. It's a clean and safe hostel, located close to San Felipe de Barajas casttle-fort, the Wall-City, the Clock Tower other historical colonial areas that we could tour around during the day. We also took an all-day-long marine excursion to Islas del Rosario and so could enjoy the Ocenanario with guide, dolphin's show, beach time at Playa Blanca, snorkelling in shallow cristal clear Caribbean waters *(lots of fish and coral reefs), shopping souvenirs, travel by motor boat for 2 hrs on quite and wavy ocean. They let us park our car inside the house at nights (9:00 pm - 8:00 am), and just outside the house during the day. Staff are polite, friendly, informative and helpful. There's a central courtyard patio with rocking chairs, a fridge with cold drinks on sale, a table with umbrella and 4 chairs for customers to use, and some toys for kids to play. You can also climb up to the roof terrace and so enjoy the invcredible view of the fort nearby and surroundings. There are stores, restaurants, museums, bars and many other attarcations nearby on foot. Our AC room was confortable enough for us traveling Colombia, the washstand and shower had only cold water, cable tv was small but worked fine. For sure that we maycome back in future for a couple of more nights in Cartagena *(beautiful city by the Atlantic ocean y Mar Caribe)

“Basic Budget Hotel”

We stayed at this hotel in Feb 2017 and then again in Mar 2017. The hotel is within walking distance to everything - the Fortress, a mall and Cartagena Old Town. It was wonderful! We stayed at this hotel in Feb 2017 and then again in Mar 2017. The hotel is within walking distance to everything - the Fortress, a mall and Cartagena Old Town. It was wonderful! The rooms were very clean! But in Feb the room we had was a corner room which was very noisy in the morning with traffic. Also the bed had springs and very little padding on the springs so not comfortable. Lighting in the bathroom was terrible. Wifi wasn't very good. We had to go down to the lobby. But it was nice there. In Mar the room we had was much better! The bed was comfortable, it wasn't as noisy and the lighting in the bathroom was better.

“Overbooked so they put us somewhere else”

We showed up fairly late at night having made a reservation and called to confirm our late arrival. They had overbooked and paid for us to go in a taxi to the sister hotel within the old city walls - Hotel Maroel. Tiny room, very clean and fine for our purposes. We showed up fairly late at night having made a reservation and called to confirm our late arrival. They had overbooked and paid for us to go in a taxi to the sister hotel within the old city walls - Hotel Maroel. Tiny room, very clean and fine for our purposes. Location was better than Casa Salome so we were happy.
