“Very Adequate”

We stayed five nights in January, 2021. The only negative we found was the location to the beach but one can walk in about 15 to 20 minutes to the main beach. There is a hotel pool on the 6th floor. The area is fine and the hotel was clean. The hotel opened in late 2019 so it is still new. Many hotels in San Andres are old. The rate includes breakfast which has fruit and a plate usually with scrambled eggs and arepa. Also they offer cereal and cake with coffee and hot chocolate. All the staff were nice and very helpful. The internet worked well. Taxis are inexpensive and the most we paid was 15,000 pesos or about $5. There is a sidewalk cafe only five minutes from the hotel. Turn right and walk to Soffy's Grill, a decent option if you don't feel like the crowds in downtown and the food is not bad for one night. The best restaurant in town is La Regata. Reservations are needed but we called several times over two days and never got an answer. Just go and get on a wait list.

Azure lofts and pool is a new hotel on San Andres island, it is not far away from the city center ( 20 mins max ) but it's not situated in the hotel zone of the island so the neighborhood is not the prettiest ( you can see chicken on the street just in front of the hotel :)) ). Although it wasn't excellent , it was half a price than what we would have payed in the city center. We were a group of 15, traveling in different destinations in Columbia and San Andres accommodations were the most expensive ( we paid here, for one room, the same price we payed in Cartagena for a bedroom apartment at the 35th floor of a new building residence.. ). Overall the cleaning in Columbia is not done well anywhere, so we were glad to stay in a 1 month old hotel, everything was new and working. The rooms are quite big, with everything you might need, nicely decorated, air conditioner works perfectly, nice bathroom. Don't count on the breakfast, everything is quite sweet and in limited portions, if you don't get there when they serve it they won't bring you more. Also the breakfast is served in the reception/hallway to elevator. The staff is nice, smiling all the time but unfortunately they don't speak English. If you want a new set of towels just fallow the cleaning lady and get your own. Cleaning during your stay is not actually cleaning, is just putting every object in order, their order anyways :), but this is just normal thing for Columbia so don't bother asking for anything else. Overall our 7 day stay was OK, the best part was that all rooms had a living room where we gathered almost daily, going one day a room the other in a different one. Don think you can find better quality in San Andres for this price, at least we didn't find anything accessible at all, so would definitely recommend Azure !

“Errors and problems”

Booked 11 days after the first fees day you get out of shower to flooded bath and small lake. We reported early morning then we had to follow up we got moved to another room ( mind that there are only 22 rooms) . Booked 11 days after the first fees day you get out of shower to flooded bath and small lake. We reported early morning then we had to follow up we got moved to another room ( mind that there are only 22 rooms) . The night reception lady sold us a bus tour double dipping the bus tour was a waste of money boring and hot plus sold it to us at 170,000 per person and not the 150,000 everyone else paid . Now on day 7 the water heater goes out all cold water come to find out more than half the units had water issues we reported it on several days nothing …. We finally went to the sister that manages another hotel and talked to her she is a good manager she fixed our room move and listened to me that the hotel need a technical person to fix the Bosch water heaters.. all this said no fix and moved to third room. . To top it all off something was taken out of the room a pj top my wife was not happy. The breakfast was a joke cold food plates with plastic on top cold eggs and such and tasteless fruit. . The nicest thing here is the pool but a bit cloudy the pool need a little work. The housekeeping staff was the best in service I would recommend them to a better hotel. Please do not stay here unless you want the same things
