First, let's talk about food....The breakfast was awesome. I think I had the best omelet I've ever eaten the first morning. After spending 5 days in Manuel Antonio and eating a typical "tico" breakfast every day, it was refreshing to have multiple options and a variety to choose from. We stayed in the Royal suite which we enjoyed for a variety of reasons, the private entrance onto the balcony in particular. Additionally, we are animal ppl so having the pets around really made us comfortable. Loved going out on a tour or for dinner and returning to have Trogan (one of the dogs) meet us at the property entry gate. Additionally, the property is walkable to both a golf course and multiple restaurants which was one of the reasons I chose this property. It worked out very well for us. My husband golfed 3 times in 4 days. Each morning he got ready to leave planning to walk to the course and each day Laurie offered to drive him up and then whenever he wrapped up, he walked back. That's certainly not something that would happen at a hotel! To summarize, Laurie was very welcoming and accommodating and Miriam took excellent care of us. We would absolutely stay here again and hope to in the future!!

Cariari Bed & Breakfast is a true gem and shows how the old ways are often best. The host and owner, Laurie, is a delight--warm, personable, inviting, and wise. Getting to know her and her pets a little during my overnight stay was a joy. The bed and breakfast itself was splendid--genuine, comfortable, tranquil, and nicely decorated with Costa Rican art. She also fed me really well! Stay here if you want to be a guest, treated like a human being instead of a commodity.

Just wonderful they make you feel at home. Wonderful food and the owner is a delight in getting to know her. Lots of quant decor that make it wonderful on every wall. If you are going to be in the area this is a 5+ place to enjoy.

The Cariari Bed & Breakfast is a charming abode that captures the essence of Costa Rican warmth. Greeting us with friendly faces, the staff left a lasting impression, especially Ms. Miriam, whose attentiveness stood out. Mornings were particularly delightful, as we savored our breakfast with views of a garden teeming with lizards and birds. This spectacle was beautifully complemented by the B&B's artistic interior, filled with enchanting artifacts. Strategically located, the property boasts proximity to the airport and an array of delightful restaurants, ensuring convenience at its best. An added feather to its cap is the safety it offers, allowing guests to unwind without a care. Furthermore, for those looking to explore further, the option to rent a car directly through the B&B is a boon. However, like all adventures, ours had its hiccup. The absence of an A/C made for a slightly uncomfortable ambiance. Moreover, a slight glitch with our reservation on the first night did cause a brief moment of anxiety. Thankfully, the efficient staff had the issue sorted and our room prepared in just 15 minutes.
