On my last day here in Makarska Riveria , Croatia , I came solo and am staying at Central Beach 9, what an amazing hotel , very clean , Smells lush , the bed and pillows are on point , the area is stunning, the people are so friendly, the staff at the hotel can not do enough for you and the food is beautiful, we’ll definitely be returning , a million per cent rating, The promenade that runs right outside the hotel has lots of bars and restaurants, lots to and recommend the excursions especially Krka National Park From Karen the solo traveller

“Room with a great view!”

The location was superb, right across the beach with all the restaurants and conveniences close by. The room was clean, had a balcony looking out onto the beach and the complex was relatively new. The location was superb, right across the beach with all the restaurants and conveniences close by. The room was clean, had a balcony looking out onto the beach and the complex was relatively new. Breakfast was enjoyable with lots of choices and staff were very attentive. The reception staff Matea and Lucia were extremely helpful and pleasant, it was always a pleasure seeing them at reception. One thing we didn’t like was the bed ( 2 king singles) were pushed together with a division created in the middle, a mattress topper or something should have gone on top to reduce the division created for the king bed.

“Nice Stay”

Back from a 7 night stay. We booked an apartment with sea view and that’s what we got - massive apartment overlooking the beach. Staff are very friendly and efficient, rooms kept spotlessly clean. Breakfast is perfectly respectable with plenty of choice and there’s loads of restaurants and bars wit… more

Back from a 7 night stay. We booked an apartment with sea view and that’s what we got - massive apartment overlooking the beach. Staff are very friendly and efficient, rooms kept spotlessly clean. Breakfast is perfectly respectable with plenty of choice and there’s loads of restaurants and bars within an easy walk away - maybe try the Old Town if you want things a bit quieter. Negatives? On the ground floor is a fast food restaurant which does open late so can get a bit noisy, and in case there’s any doubt - there’s no pool here so you’ll need to use the beach and pay for sun beds if you want them. This is a very nice place overall, certainly if you wanted to do self-catering there is everything you need but perhaps if we were to return to the area we’d choose a Hotel with a pool.

“Makarska”

Great hotel close to all the restaurants and shops but far too commercialised for my liking. Not the Croatia I know and love. Great for families but the beach is busier than Benidorm. The old town is lovely and but I won't be back to this location unfortunately.
