“Really good hotel in Split”

We loved this hotel! Rooms are nicely decorated, spacious, bed really comfy. Staff is always helpful and friendly. Very good location. Would recommend!

“Lovely hotel”

Just had a weeks stay at this truly delightful hotel. The staff could not have been nicer and helpful. It’s in a beautiful location only 10 minute walk from split and overlooking the sea. I would highly recommend this lovely hotel.

I wish to provide a balanced review of the hotel park but I firstly have to call out that my experience was unfortunately tainted by a customer service experience at reception that left me feeling quite belittled and upset. Firstly, however, it is a nice hotel that has retained its old traditional charm and is 10-20 mins walk from the old town (depending on where you are heading). The check in process was efficient and we were allowed into our room 30 minutes before the official check in time. We waited an additional 30 minutes in the bar area prior to that. We did think the bar was a little overpriced & hence I’d recommend heading to the nearby beach two minutes walk away as they had great value drinks in a nice setting with great service. A nice touch when we were waiting for the room would perhaps have been to offer a complimentary water whilst we waited to feel properly welcomed. In terms of the room the bed was extremely comfortable with a lovely spacious bathroom and toiletries. The staff did a great job of cleaning the room each day. Where the room could improve would be to attach the in room safe to something to provide the guest peace of mind that it cannot be easily removed from the room. This could be easily done, but when this was suggested to the gentleman at reception I was rudely shutdown. Even though the room is a nice size, the storage should be looked at to provide better hanging space. Also perhaps they could consider providing somewhere for two cases to be stored. The AC was good but kept cutting out, which was frustrating. The breakfast was good with the option of sparkling wine also was great. The piano player at breakfast was a lovely touch but we noted there was no offer of eggs or coffee made to order. There was often a wait at the single coffee machine provided. Service was a little lacking, with nobody to greet, seat or explain the breakfast process. The outside areas including seating, pool and lounge are lovely, however should be reconfigured so that some of the seating area becomes more of a sunbathing/lounging space (the pool is small and only a small amount of loungers available for the demand). The cleaning of the jacuzzi needs more regular attention as there was a ring of green sludge when we were there around the edge of the water line. There was also no regular clearing of dirty towels or glasses from around the pool area (or offer of a drinks service poolside). With insufficient sun loungers for the demand, staff need to be clearing old towels from sunbeds. The light in the men’s pool bathroom (I am reliably informed) is on a timer and required swinging arms around in the dark to reactivate it. So whilst I slept well, and the hotel was pleasant, it did not really measure up to the 5* status and for the rate it charges for the room. Would I return to this hotel? I’m afraid when I think of the experience in context with what we paid for this this stay no I would not and I would try, for instance the Ambassador instead. Location - 10-20 Mins walk from old town AC - temp is okay but kept cutting out, which was frustrating. Bed - very comfortable Power Sockets either side of the bed - yes Socket near a mirror for hair dryer - yes (but no socket for electric toothbrush) Shower, bath and toiletries - great Room - okay but no storage for cases Coffee at breakfast - okay but had to queue for the single machine Water - one bottle a day complementary. Only two coffee pods provided per day. Wardrobes- inadequate for two people.
