We have stayed in hotel for 5 nights. Hotel is located in very good place, near the beach and the city center. The hotel is modern with very clean and spacious rooms. View through the room window was stunning, our room was with the view to mountains and it was amazing. In the morning You open your eyes and first what You saw was the peaks of mountains and the sun rises. Hotel has a small kitchen, were You could made a cup of coffee or tea and enjoy fresh fruits or sweets. Breakfast were prepared in hotel Villa Diana (hotel located opposite to UP THERE). Food was delicious, but all days the same and the choise of food was very short. Administrators of hotel pleasant, helpful and kind. According their restaurant recommendations we ate very delicious seafood and try local cuisine. Near hotel is city beach, which we didn’t like, so they suggested to us a Kasjuni beach where we enjoyed clear water, beach and nice landscape. I recommend hotel for travelers who want to live near the city center in modern, clean and quite hotel with helpful staff.

Yes you can pay more , but I would rather spend money on other things

“Great place, lovely staff”

What a little gem of place. Totally ignore the outside view of the building and enjoy the clean and comfortable surroundings of the inside. Location was great - 5 to 10 mins walk to the beach, old town, harbour and a good range of restaurants and supermarkets. We stayed for a full week and enjoyed… more

What a little gem of place. Totally ignore the outside view of the building and enjoy the clean and comfortable surroundings of the inside. Location was great - 5 to 10 mins walk to the beach, old town, harbour and a good range of restaurants and supermarkets. We stayed for a full week and enjoyed the use of the common tea/coffee area and modern spacious bedrooms with good wifi and Netflix ready TVs. The AC was a godsend in baking hot conditions outside. The breakfast was OK but the same limited menu for the week did get boring towards the last few days. Recommended.

“Split, Croatia, Worth A Visit...”

My husband and I travelled on the 16th September on British Airways, which took 2hrs 40 minutes from Heathrow. Jet2 stop flying to Split after 31st August during the autumn and winter period. We stayed in 'Up There Design Rooms' which was in an excellent location with a short walk to all the touristy sights and nearby small beach. The rooms were on the 6th Floor gained by an elevator and were fairly basic in as much as furniture. Two swivel stools, a swivel chair, double bed with small tables either side and a clothes closet and shelves. We had a wonderful shower unit, toilet and sink unit with shelves underneath. The room was huge with windows all along this side with a view of lovely little white houses with red roofs going uphill towards the mountains. The window sill went the whole length along the window which was very useful and underneath was a socket for recharging phone or IPad. Incidentally the Wifi was really good. The best part of staying in 'Up There rooms' was the small coffee lounge, where you could help yourself to small biscuits, fruit, tea or coffee any time you needed a little refreshment at tables with some astonishing views of the Port. Adjoining this was the reception desk, manned by three outstanding staff, namely Petra, Valentina and Marko. They gave information about where to go, how to get to, and anything you needed to do, absolutely worth their weight in gold, nothing was a bother for them. THIS made the holiday all the more enjoyable. Couldn't beat this hotel for cleanliness, pristine white sheets, duvet and towels every other day... BLISS. The Old Town was really interesting, with shops, restaurants, and bars scattered around it in centuries old streets and buildings. It's a warren of little streets and took a couple of days to get your bearings in and around it. We found a lovely bar in the Central Square called 'No Stress'. It certainly lived up to it's name. Just sitting there having a quiet drink and people watching was pure relaxation. The waiters and staff were so pleasant and efficient. We didn't have a meal there, but I DID sample their Tiramasui and it was 'top notch' to say the least. The cleanliness was second to none, as the refuse collector came round every Hour in his little truck and picked up the trash from shops, restaurants, and bars, consequently there was not a scrap of litter anywhere. We walked the hind legs of a donkey, as it was so easy to do so, because the terrain was pretty flat around the Port. And there were seats everywhere to rest the weary legs if necessary. The Port was 'busy-busy' and Ocean Liners coming and going each day, and lots of large ferries taking tourists to the surrounding towns and islands. The main promenade area was breathtaking. Best I've ever had the fortune to encounter in my travels and once again immaculately litter-free. We walked up to the Park and the views were superb looking down on to the Port and exquisite promenade. This was one of the best holidays we have had in our travels and I would go back again to Split and DEFINATELY would stay at 'Up There Designer Rooms' but I wouldn't book breakfast as it was served in a little bistro in the next street to the hotel and was a bit boring, with little to choose from, and lacked variety for me. I would prefer to walk (approx 7mins) to that gorgeous promenade and choose my own menu. If you don't go you'll miss out just on that one beautiful promenade alone. 10 days makes a nice trip...
