We had an amazing experience in Idassa Atrium! Before we arrived we were contacted to ask what time we’d be arriving at, they were extremely helpful and friendly. They gave us tips on how to get there and what was the best mode of transport from the bus station. When we arrived we were greeted by Magdelena who was amazing! She had tips for us with restaurant recommendations based on food type and places to visit in Zadar all written out on the map. She brought us to our room which was absolutely perfect for our stay. It had a fridge and mini kitchen, was clean and in the most central part of old town Zadar! Everything was smooth and efficient on check out too. Would definitely be back and would highly recommend to anyone considering going to Zadar!

“All the benefits of a hotel room without the restrictions.”

I stayed in an upper storey room with a terrace shared with another room. The terrace was set out in a manner which allowed some privacy for all the guests. I stayed in an upper storey room with a terrace shared with another room. The terrace was set out in a manner which allowed some privacy for all the guests. A clothes rack was provided (with pegs) and I found anything I put there dried very quickly. The location was perfect. The street is pedestrian only and very quiet - apart from Sunday morning when the nearby church rang its bells! 😊 The rooms were at the top of a building which has permanent residents. I only mention this so that you’re mindful of their right to privacy and respect. The room was a decent size and had plenty of storage, but the wardrobe was short in length. It wouldn’t accommodate anything beyond a shirt. There was a small fridge and tea/coffee with a kettle. The room also had a safe. The rooms have keys – remember those? This meant that you could go out for the day and return to an air-conditioned room. The room was cleaned every day by a lovely woman. Be aware that toiletries aren’t provided. Ivona was extremely helpful. When I was booking my room, she ensured that I would have somewhere which fitted all my requirements. She also provided directions, the buses to catch and even the anticipated fare for a taxi. During my stay she continued to be both friendly and efficient. We had some good conversations and she greatly enhanced my stay. I enjoyed my visit.

The wonderful convenient location overwhelms other small issues. The room is large, very modern, with spartan, yet adequate furnishings. We enjoyed a 3 night stay with everything in the room working well. The A/C and lights activate with your key, so on very hot days, it took a while for the room to cool and we returned. The included breakfast was at the nearby historic plaza and was excellent. There is no elevator, but only 3 floors. Be aware: check in is at the sister property Idassa Palace - about 3 blocks west, and limited hours. Try to have specific directions, as the streets can be a maze. Also, if driving, the parking lot south of the park is the most reasonable for overnights. Walking distance to everything in Old City and taxi stands very close. Be sure to visit the old church directly out the front door.
