“A Favorite ”
I always stay at Hotel Mirador when I visit Cuba. Love the quiet town, spotless clean rooms and the pool are to unwind and relax. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Check in was very easy. The pool bar attendants are always very friendly and professional.

“Lovely base for birding”
This region is very interesting, with mogotes and caves from ancient limestone deposits. Rooms are along an open corridor where one might encounter a tree frog or lizard on the wall, lovely swimming pool with plaza around it. Food was the usual Cuban fare, plain but plentiful. Plumbing worked fine.

“Good spot to stay for birding”
This hotel, like many in Cuba is charmingly stuck in the sixties. We stayed there for two nights while birding in the area. “Nice pause from biking/hiking”
After plenty of hiking and biking in the area, we took a few hours pause here to chill, enjoy the pool area, and people-watch, an especially fun activity given that children had the week off school. Played a little makeshift bingo with some families, enjoyed a so-so monitor, and got on our way.
