I just returned from this wonderful resort & so enjoyed my 5th visit & first solo. Despite difficult circumstances in Cuba now, staff were always smiling, friendly & helpful. There was lots of food despite the rumors of shortages. The room was clean, comfortable with a great ocean view, building 5. Lots of hot water & clean towels as well as comfortable beds. The beach is the best of all! The resort is relatively small so everything is close. It is suitable for people with disabilities as well as children. There's a daycare with great staff. Overall I would reccomend this resort for a fun, relaxing holiday!

We had the best week at this resort! Our first time in Cuba, and we already can’t wait to come back! The food was plentiful, the drinks were delicious, the entertainment was top notch and the staff were absolutely amazing. They go above and beyond to make your experience amazing! We stayed in the bungalow 5, no renovated yet but close to all facilities and ocean front! I’d highly recommend. The room was clean, spacious and we absolutely loved the balcony!! Thank you Playa Coco for making our first time in Cuba amazing! We can’t wait to be back!

I had the best experience of my life in this hotel, starting with the celebration of my wedding anniversary, as soon as we arrived the treatment was magnificent with Yarlenys, Angie and Daryl always so smiling and attentive, the room was in perfect condition, the food despite of not having our Canadian seasoning because both in the buffet and in each restaurant it was phenomenal, credits to chef "ñato" according to what our favorite bartender Bickely told us, thanks to the entertainment team for doing everything possible to keep us happy, I rate it a 100/ 100

“Two weeks isn’t enough - if you go, you will understand!”

I have had time to reflect upon our vacation at Hotel Playa Coco. We arrived on April 15th and stayed until April 29th. Two of the most amazing weeks of vacation we have ever had. I will admit when we arrived things seemed a bit unorganized. The issue wasn’t with the staff, it was fuel shortages in Moron. Once we were explained this, everything made sense. I touched base with the resort regarding our needs, I am in a wheelchair, before we went. Then I confirmed our needs a few days before we arrived. I can walk, just not very far. All of our needs were met, even better so when we were onsite and could throughly explain our needs. Even by email, language can be a barrier. lol Our room was great! It was large and roomy. There were even lots of hangers. The bathroom was perfect. We had a walk in shower, as requested. The housekeeper cleaned our bathroom, floors and made our bed everyday. She was one of the sweetest people you will ever imagine meeting. Our room was close to the beach so that was a short walk to the beach entrance by the Pizzaria and the beach bar. Mandi, our dear friend, was there every day to make sure we were able to find a palapa with chairs in a spot that I was capable of walking to, and still walking into the water. My beautiful friend Yaima Jimenez was always smiling when we went to have our lunch at the Pizzaria. Great Pizza, great service, and great view! We left the beach at the end of the day to go shower and get ready for dinner. We always had hot water. We would then usually have time for a drink before dinner, whether it be at an a la carte or the buffet. The buffet was great! We were able to find seating easily even with the wheelchair. There was always the pasta station, a seafood station and of course a beef, pork, and chicken station. In the middle, there were lots of side options, fresh fruit and vegetables, rice dishes, potato dishes, fresh beets and so much more! The desert station had cakes and squares, jello, so much stuff! The a la carte restaurants were also delicious. From salads to soups, mains of chicken and roast pork, to sides of rice or potatoes and more! Always red or white wine with dinner, I think they had rose too. The Japanese restaurant was especially fun with the chef cooking in front of us. As far as drinks went, I found I had to switch it up a bit since my usual mix wasn’t available. I find the cola too sweet, and you can only drink so many Pina Coladas. The trick is to either take mix with you or decide to mix it up like I did! The company each evening was fun and amazing. The shows were awesome. So much talent. We didn’t spend anytime at the pool, but there seemed to be always the entertainment team there, and people having lots of fun. So these were our days. 14 of them. And we still weren’t ready to leave. Our dear friend Adriana Lopez Roche touched base with us many of our days there, no matter how busy she was. From the desk staff, to the entertainment team, the two guest artists from the buffet who serenaded us, the gardeners, the Transat Rep who was there almost every single day, the waitress in the lobby bar who brought us Miami Vice’s most evenings, and “gin over ice with teeny splash of lime”. She was a doll. Yadira who kept the lobby and washrooms in the pristine order of cleanliness. This woman never stopped from the time she arrived until she went home. Stellar worker and beautiful person. We left this beautiful resort feeling like we were leaving family, and even after two weeks, we were not ready to go. But, hubby had to return to work, so home we came to our own families. Time to spend with the grandchildren However, I believe we are destined to be in Cuba, in Cayo Coco, with our new family members soon! We never spoke to anyone who weren’t making sure all was well. Also, anyone in a wheelchair, this resort is 99% wheelchair friendly according to my experience, with the adults pool not being accessible as far as I could see. If you have the chance to come here you should do it. There are going to be issues no matter where you go. Just ask yourself, are you willing to deal with it, is the resort willing to fix it, if they can’t or aren’t, what is your next move? Theresa & Brian.
