Idyllic corner to the north of the central province of Ciego de Ávila, in the area known as Jardines del Rey, more than 500 km east of Havana, and named after the fact that Diego Velázquez presented them to the King of Spain in 1522. Cayo Coco is the fourth largest island in Cuba measuring 370 km2 with 22 km of pristine fine sandy beaches and beautiful turquoise waters surrounded by lush vegetation and mangroves, facing one of the most important coral reefs in the world. Its name comes from the presence of the white ibis, popularly known as the Coconut bird.

“Truly Wonderful !”
My daughter and I just returned from Melia Cayo Coco, this week…best experience I’ve had. Yes, the resort is older but they are working extremely hard at renovating and it will only be more beautiful! “Great Vacation Resort”
This was my first time in Cuba...my friend recommended this resort as it was her fifth time vacationing there. Melia Cayo Coco did not disappoint! Had a very relaxing week with great food and beverages. The staff are excellent!

“Superb holiday”
Just got back after 2 great weeks here Fantastic weather Great food and drinks Enjoyed the pool and the activities Night shows were great ( Micheal Jackson show especially ) But for me the Staff are the stars of the show, thanks for having us we will be back *****
