We stayed at the deluxe apartment 26A for 6 nights of our recent trip to Curacao. The area is located in the more historical district- walking distance into Williamstad, and good "base" area to stay for day trips to the west beaches. The little private soaking pool was a bit chilly, but refreshing, and the outdoor patio was lovely, the front porch also has a nice balcony overlooking the streets for local culture and vibes. The apartment was very clean, comfy beds- good bathroom, and well stocked kitchen and relaxing sitting area. The housekeeping staff was attentive and changed our towels and sheets out while we were there for a certain number of nights. A car is must to leave the area, it's not a safe biking place with crazy drivers and too hot there to ride a bike anyways. No where to lock them up anyways. We felt very safe at the apartment, our host was responsive and helpful. Check out the Space next door for massage and yoga! Maria's has good food next door too! The hose was nice to wash out our snorkel gear. The washer was also helpful. Electricity and water is very expensive on the island ( as well as food and beverage) so be careful with your usage. We only used the air conditioner at night while we slept, and the breeze as great during the day with the windows and doors open! We also used the airport pick up service which was very helpful and professional. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

“Beautiful colonial apartments in a central location”

Travelled as a couple and rented the Premium Top Floor apartment with terrace. The apartment was modern, well furnished, clean and it had fully functional kitchen. Travelled as a couple and rented the Premium Top Floor apartment with terrace. The apartment was modern, well furnished, clean and it had fully functional kitchen. Loved the morning coffee on the big terrance listening to the birds chirping. Conveniently located near Emma bridge, close to Governor's restaurant and Kura Hulanda hotel / museum made this street to be part of the 'city tour'. As a result, during the day it may get noisy but at night it's not bad. Many Thanks to the owners Inez and Eric for being so kind and helpful!

This is a difficult review to write, because I can neither recommend nor not recommend Kas di Lamen Apartments and believe it comes down to personal choice and what a vacationer’s needs are. This is a difficult review to write, because I can neither recommend nor not recommend Kas di Lamen Apartments and believe it comes down to personal choice and what a vacationer’s needs are. On the plus side: The apartments are modern, well furnished and kept clean with weekly housekeeping services. The owners, who are Eric and Inez are nice, friendly and helpful people. On the minus side: The apartments do not have free parking; they have no parking, which is contrary to the listing. This is a concern if you intend to rent a vehicle, because parking is on the street. The advertised restaurant is across a busy main road and is only open Monday through Friday until 11:00 am each day. Not convenient if you are a late riser. The apartments are located on a corner with a very busy main road in front and a side street at the side. The side walk is adjacent to the bathroom windows. Therefore, the location has an inherent noise problem: There are tour buses (converted American school buses without windows) frequently passing along the main street with tour guides giving running commentaries; and the noise from heavy traffic is disturbing. Likewise, after midnight some clown likes to ride at speed along the main (high) street on his motorcycle that does not have a silencer fitted. So, sleeping can be difficult if you are alight sleeper. There is also a charge if you use, what is considered to be, too much electricity. We paid US $40 extra after a one month stay, because we had the air conditioning on when we were in the apartment during some days. The same applies to water use, but we were OK on that score. We don’t waste water or electricity. I think the reason there was an additional electricity charge and a noise problem from the traffic is because there are no glass windows in the apartment. The windows are wooden slatted shutters that do not seal and thus allow both noise and outside heat, plus a few biting insects, to pass through. Consequently, the air conditioning must work harder. I want to finish this review on a positive note, so please appreciate that it is an easy walk to the Queen Emma floating bridge, the main shopping area and restaurants. As for Willemstad, we found the locals to be friendly; the shops like any other tourist town; and the food served in the restaurants to be good with a range to suit every budget. If you have any questions Eric and Inez will be pleased to answer them and provide you with local tour advice. They will also arrange a taxi (limo) both to and from the airport at a reasonable cost. So, if you can accept extra traffic noise, do not intend to rent a vehicle and don’t mind paying a little more for electricity use, these apartments are not a bad choice.
