We recently stayed at Aktea Village Hotel in Cyprus as part of a Turing Project with our FE college in the UK, travelling with a group of 17 students and 2 staff — and I can honestly say we had an absolutely fantastic experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble, and they made a real effort to ensure both staff and students felt comfortable and supported throughout our stay. The hotel itself was spotless — cleanliness was clearly a priority, and all areas were very well maintained. The rooms were spacious and well-designed, with balconies offering lovely views. We especially appreciated the layout, with the bedroom sectioned off from the living space, and the beds were very comfortable. The rooms were also well-equipped with everything we needed. The food was excellent throughout our stay — fresh, varied and full of flavour. 8 Professional Cookery students really enjoyed working in the kitchen and 5 Business student work with Marketing Team and Reception Team learning more about international hotel and marketing. This was all part of the Turing Project a great opportunity to take part in and would not have been possible with Aktea Village Hotel. A special mention to Bibek, the Restaurant and Bar Manager, who was incredibly welcoming and ensured everything ran smoothly. The front-of-house team were equally impressive — passionate, attentive and always friendly. We also really enjoyed the daily activities organised by Alex, who brought great energy and enthusiasm. From French boules and darts to bingo, karate and yoga/stretching sessions, there was always something engaging happening for our group. Another highlight was the support from the reception team, who shared information about Cyprus Easter celebrations. This allowed our students to take part in authentic local traditions, giving them a truly cultural and memorable experience beyond the hotel. Overall, Aktea Village Hotel exceeded our expectations. It was the perfect balance of comfort, hospitality and cultural experience, and we would highly recommend it — whether you’re travelling as a group, a family, or individually. We would definitely return!
