Having stayed here a few years ago we booked again and must admit not understanding the negatives. This was by far the best value hotel in Protaras and gives you everything you need. Clean, well appointed and in the perfect location. Found the staff to be polite and courteous at all times and the breakfast was perfectly acceptable on each day. You can certainly get a better standard of you are prepared to pay more than twice the price but why would you when you can have a fantastic time here. We will be returning next year and look forward to having the same excellent experience then, can't wait!

“Great location but need to improve guest relations”

The location was excellent. Just a few minutes from the beach, and a few minutes to the restaurant strip. The room was a good size, with a beautiful view to the sea. Breakfast was good. The location was excellent. Just a few minutes from the beach, and a few minutes to the restaurant strip. The room was a good size, with a beautiful view to the sea. Breakfast was good. Water pressure was low. No shampoo or conditioner, and soap bottle nearly empty. Towels were small and worn. Room could have been cleaner. On the first night, they supplied small packets of instant coffee, but these were not replenished during our stay, (despite my requests). One reason we reserved this hotel was that we knew that in May the sea could be cold, and the hotel advertised an indoor pool. The indoor pool was unheated and in fact colder than the outdoor pool (20 degrees). Another disappointment was that we were celebrating my husband's birthday and our 35th anniversary. Upon check in, I asked the receptionist of she could refer me to a bakery to buy a cake or to help me get some sort of baked goods or fruit from the hotel to surprise him. I offered to pay for this. They never came through. The manager did invite us to coffee "on the house" next to the pool (but that hardly constitutes a birthday celebration.) There was also no recognition of our anniversary. We bought our own wine but it took me two days to persuade them to provide us with two wine glasses and of course no note or acknowledgment from the hotel. Receptionist also had no recommendations for restaurants, and she just waved vaguely in the direction of the strip and in an annoyed tone, commented " there are lots of restaurants, you will find them"

“Now run by management company, not family”

The hotel is no longer ran by the family, they have put a management company in and all staff that were there, are now gone! We were friendly with guests staying there, who have been going for many years and they were really saddened that staff had been finished. They reported that new restaurant… more

The hotel is no longer ran by the family, they have put a management company in and all staff that were there, are now gone! We were friendly with guests staying there, who have been going for many years and they were really saddened that staff had been finished. They reported that new restaurant manager was often unprofessionally shouting at staff in front of guests, I can only hope that’s not how it’s going to be for the rest of the season. They stated they wouldn’t return as it had lost the ‘family run’ feeling. Sunbeds do appear to have been upgraded for 2026 tho’ seemed to be a lot more pushed together….great if you like to get up close and personal with randoms, not so great if you don’t! Food reported to be a big let down, tho’ to be fair it has been for several years and I’m not the only person to think so. Various new kiddy entertainment machines delivered to pool area during our stay at Golden Star (opposite) and the old dining room is still out of use….total waste of space. Maybe the new management will tackle that, if they’ve not alienated half the guests?

The food not much choice at all we are half board there is no labels for the food which I just dont think is good enough as some you can't tell what it is. Yes we can ask like I just did when I pointed to a dish the chef himself said "this is beef" So I got some sat down to eat started chewing it and nearly threw it up!!. Guess what it was?? Liver! I dont eat liver and the thought of it makes me sick i eat meat only not organs! now it maybe from a cow but I was told beef. Label food please!. Breakfast is probably the best pastries toast jam, peanut butter, chocolate spread your usual stuff for a cooked breakfast. Only one small row for food and 2 small parts for dessert. Grapefruit in the morning is very nice. Dessert stale underneath. Most days everything is covered in herbs chips with herbs majority with herbs. What about the people that dont like herbs. Not really catering for everyone seems like its for the chef himself. More options are needed for meals. For this reason I wouldnt stay at this hotel again. Everything else completely fine. Rooms cleaned when asked view from Seaview is lovely in the morning. This is not acceptable. One row for food like I say not much choice so based on the food I wouldnt stay here again.
