Loved this resort! We got a fantastic deal and decided to try out a different area of the DR. I was travelling as a single mother with 2 children 15 and 12 and with friends and their families. We would definitely go back! Resort - clean, well maintained and approx 30 mins from the airport. Not a huge property so not a ton of walking. Safety - never felt unsafe and the kids could roam around without me constantly supervising them. Lots of security guards around. Food - We tried all the a la cartes and they were ok. The Japanese was our favorite. No issues getting reservations at the main lobby desk. We actually much preferred the buffet! It was huge, had lots of selection and the food was of good quality. We found a favorite sever - Kennedy - and sat in his section for all our meals! Every day the beach grill they would have something else for lunch. Beach - the sand was beautiful but unfortunately there was lots of seaweed when we were there. Not the resorts fault! You could always find a clear spot to swim in, just wasn't perfect conditions. Lots and I mean LOTS of loungers, you never had to fight or reserve one early. We switched between beach and pool all day and no issues. Towels - always plenty of them, could swap them out as needed. Pool - lovely pool area! Frey was our fave bartender at the swim up. Go ask him for a Mango Daiquiri. Plenty of loungers here as well!! We did an excursion with Pedro from the front lobby desk. It was amazing! Atv's through the local villages and up into the mountains. Then to a few different waterfalls and swimming holes. Great experience, I highly recommend it!

I have to be honest and say that I was a bit scared/anxious about booking my vacation at this hotel because I had read some reviews that didn’t paint a good picture. I am extremely happy that I did. The hotel is beautifully kept. The lobby was welcoming as well as the staff. They got us checked in fast and introduced to the man that would really be the superstar of this vacation my concierge, Dawell. Dawell helped me from the moment we met to the moment we left. He helped me get reservations to all the restaurants on the property. They were all delicious. I can’t describe how friendly and helpful he was. He was the VIP that made this stay amazing for my daughter and I on her birthday. The food at the buffet and snack bar were good as well. There were different food for all. You would be hard pressed not to find something. The entertainment was fun as well. I would highly recommend this hotel.

“Wonderful relaxing vacation, exceeded expectations!”

We very much enjoyed our vacation at this resort, the beach and ocean were much nicer than expected, we swam every day. Even when it was windy at the beach in the afternoons the ocean was very swimmable. It’s a gorgeous property with peacocks wandering around. We had very attentive staff calling to follow up about an issue with our room safe (hubby accidentally reprogrammed it and didn’t know the code haha!) and about an extra blanket we requested. There was very little sargassum and the beach was cleaned every day around 1pm. The beach bar and lunch restaurant by the pool had self serve pop and coffee if you want and the beach bartender was great! The staff wasn’t always looking for tips which was nice compared to Iberostar Selection in Punta Cana (our 8th time at an Iberostar resort). Our concierge did NOT bug us for a meeting or upsell, in fact we never saw him after the first day although he may have been the one phoning to check on us. Restaurant reservations were easy to get at the desk the morning after we checked in, and our room was fabulous. A very comfortable bed and pillows, I am a poor sleeper and I had the best sleeps on this vacation for a change. I don’t know our cleaner‘s name but it was top notch cleaning, our room was cleaned early in the day which we like and was impeccable. Plus the app pinging you a message saying “your room is clean” is very handy. We didn’t use the pool more than a few times and yes there was some bird poop but every time I was there or walking by I saw someone skimming it. You could always get a chair in the shade in the middle of the afternoon if you didn’t mind sitting in the rows closer to the beach. We did both get a 12 hour tummy bug that seems to be going around but luckily we didn’t miss any time at the beach. Hopefully when they close the resort for a few months to redo the pool this will stop the constant circulation of the bug. Having said this it was the cleanest resort I have ever been to! So many travellers in one place makes this sort of thing unavoidable. All in all a fantastic vacation and I would go back in a heartbeat, I wish I could book next week!
