One thing I did not realize was how big the resort was. There are trolleys to take you around but they are sometimes full and people don’t care if you’ve been waiting longer then them or not. It can be a struggle to get on them depending on the time of day. As someone who is recovering back surgery, this would have been nice to know. I am not one to complain about wifi on a vacation, however, the resort has gone paperless and everything you need as a guest is on their website. To book La cart restaurants, on the website. To view the map of the 4km resort (HUGE)is on the website. It’s a great concept and we were told numerous times how the resort has spent millions of USD on this website….BUT you need working wifi for it to work… Asking the lobby staff for information they would be a bit rude and tell us to check the website. We wouldn’t have had to ask if the wifi worked… The food isn’t great, but again I don’t travel all inclusive for the food. They ran out of plates often, and they really need to wash the blue place mats. They are disgusting 🤢 The pools are beautiful, lots of mature trees and shade. We always had a chair under the shaded huts no matter what time we came. The beach is beautiful, and we always got a chair no matter what time we got there. Maybe not a shaded chair, but always seats available. Rooms were standard. Would I return? Sure if the price was right, but I’d definitely check out other resorts first.

Want to start with the positives: First the food is fantastic. Juan - the chef at Il Capriccio was incredible. He created a special sauce for the fish that was amazing. He even came to our table to talk to us about it which was a special surprise. Then Hector from the Fish Market took extra special care of us at dinner. His customer service skills were above and beyond anything we’ve ever experienced before, ever! He was spectacular!!! My daughter and mother-in-law got an updated room which I was grateful for. They deserved it. Our room was outdated and further away from everything although we called ahead of time and requested our rooms to be close together but were not lucky when we arrived. Also we found it odd that we were required to have reservations to the restaurants when they were practically empty when we were there. Each time. At other resorts we’ve never had to have reservations we just go when we wanted. There’s also the constant selling on the beach. I get that they need to make their money but there wasn’t even 5 minutes between each person in the 2-3 hours we were lounging where we weren’t asked to buy something. It was a bit much. We walked down the beach to the other resorts and it seemed like it was only our section that was like that. The resort is also wide instead of tall so they have trolleys that take you around which is nice. We don’t mind walking but everything is really spread far apart. Also the events are misleading. They’ll name them things like Tropical or Fire but it’s just singing which was beautiful but we anticipated something different. There were no shows in the theater. Also the steaks at the Steakhouse restaurant were not included they were a separate charge which was odd. However the Dominican people are absolutely incredible. Seriously the best experience with people we’ve ever had. We’d definitely go back just to chat with them! We speak Spanish so they appreciate that I’m sure.
