We had a great experience at this resort. We use Marriott resorts often and this was one of the best ones so far. Highly recommend the Castle suites- unless you are interested in higher energy/party vibe. But you have access to all areas of resort. Spa was amazing. Our butler Camacho was wonderful. All the staff was very friendly which really takes the experience to the next level!

Note: this is a long review and the longest I’ve ever written but it’s fully justified because of how much we loved this place. We just returned from 6 glorious days (April 2024) at Sanctuary Cap Cana in the Dominican Republic. It was one of the most wonderful vacations we have ever had! First, the resort itself is just beautiful. 6 lovely pools, beautiful landscaping and many lovely areas every where you can sit and enjoy it all. We stayed in the Luxury Building in a Luxury Premium Ocean View Junior Suite on the 5th floor. The view was spectacular! Completely unobstructed and looking at the ocean with the moon rising over the waves was gorgeous. Our room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed, including a jet tub on the balcony. I thought the electronic shower was cool, you used a touch pad for water and temperature. Daily housekeeping was thorough, quick and friendly. But everyone was friendly! You know at some resorts where you feel like staff are friendly because they are just doing their jobs? Well, not here. Everyone from the housekeeping, room service, wait staff at any one of the numerous restaurants and of course reservations, were friendly, professional and helpful. I must mention here Jessica Santana the reservation manager. We had a pretty complex reservation due to date changes and she managed to figure it all out and to our advantage. Her sincere desire to help and excellent customer service were some of the best we’ve ever encountered. Jessica is fantastico! Thank you! Choosing from 5 of the main restaurants was fun and every meal we had was delicious. What are the chances that in 6 nights we wouldn’t like one of our meals? Pretty good right? Well, it didn’t happen and we loved them all, including the night we stayed in for room service. Our days were spent at pool side or ocean beach. Wait staff (did I say how friendly they are??) brought us drinks on a regular basis, food was available in multiple locations for snacks and meals and the days passed by like a dream. We were sad when it was time to leave, everything had gone by too quickly! During all this wonderfulness, there was one negative. We ran out of sunscreen and I purchased a can at the gift shop outside the main lobby building. It cost, wait for it, $58 US dollars for one can of sunscreen. Yup, I was shocked too. The gift shop is outside the resort and I believe it’s part of it but run by an outside company. I thought the price was ludicrous and told them so. But because we couldn’t very well sit in the sun without it, we had no choice. So remember to bring extra sunscreen! We’ve been to a lot of nice places but Sanctuary Cap Cana is now one of our all time favorites and we will definitely be back. We began planning our return trip before we even left! We highly recommend this resort. It is everything you could ask for and more.

We visited Sanctuary Cap Cana in April, and it was amazing. All the food at the restaurants was outstanding (my husband and I even tried octopus for the 1st time at the Blue Marlin) SO GOOD! Prior to going I read all the reviews, and most were about the Castle Side. We didn't stay there, and all the while we did walk over and check it out, and it was beautiful, I am personally glad we didn't. Very very quite and no direct beach access. We had wonderful service everywhere we went; ALL the staff were so nice and friendly! I would like to shout out a few that went the extra mile. All the entertainment crew were so much fun... especially Haydo and (the guy with braces) I unfortunately cannot remember his name. Servers in the restaurants, Wendy, JJ, and Kelvin - Amazing! Our beach server Elizabeth took excellent care of us each day. There are definitely others... and they all made an imprint on how fantastic our vacation was. The beach is fairly small, but we did not have any trouble getting 4 chairs together. We did go out relatively early and claim them though. We also utilized the Bali Beds one day and it was a nice touch. The ONLY thing I would suggest is potentially adding in a Silent Disco Party on the beach. This would be a huge win for the Entertainment Squad! I can't say enough good things about this resort! I will always recommend it and hope to visit again in the future!

“AMAZING RESORT”

This resort is a 10!! All inclusive adults only. The resort is super easy to get to from the airport- like a 20 minute ride. Once you arrive you are treated like royalty. ALL of the staff are just so kind, helpful and FUN!! The resort is expansive and so beautiful. We will be back!!
