Great view, Great good. Lovely staff. I do not understand the previous review of the staff in the hotel. The staff are lovely, not bothersome at all. They say hi, make conversation and then leave you alone. My daughter and I were treated with full respect. The chefs made additional vegetarian food for us. The restaurant manager rearranged tables to let groups of newly acquainted friends sit together. Our room was spotless and the cleaning perfect. The beds were comfortable and the sound of the sea makes for a great sleep. No disturbances at all. The beach team were helpful. The entertainment team were friendly and helpful. We did not join their games but many others seemed to be enjoying the volleyball. They also entertained children in the evening. My only complaint would be wi fi quality, but we should all disconnect on holiday so maybe this also serves to help us do this. The gardening team also seemed hard at work making the place look nice. I was also told the Dive team are fantastic, which is the reason river go here.

Best animators ever. They are great team. We love them. We have a great timer on zumba, stretching and dance with them.volleyball, waterpolo, we have a great time. The beatch is great, a lot of fish. Good food. Waitres arevery kind. We had a disco fun every day

I was initially very skeptical about the hotel due to the star rating, but upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised. Incredibly friendly staff, great food, a beautiful room with a sea view, a perfect coral reef with lots of fish. The only thing to criticize is the cleanliness around the hotel. There is a lot of litter on the beaches around the main one, not to mention the waste thrown from the hotel into the nearby desert. That needs to change, otherwise a very nice stay. I will definitely come back! :)

Upon check-in at the hotel, you are given a blue, plastic wrist tag/bracelet which you have to wear at all times during your stay at the hotel, even in bed and in the shower, as you cannot take it off. They remove the tag when you check out by cutting it off. If you're not wearing your tag, you won't be served anywhere in the hotel, and security could ask you to leave. . The internet connection is a nightmare. It's annoyingly slow, and constantly disconnecting. The internet is available only in the lobby, not the guest rooms, and the lobby is ridiculously loud as there's an echo, as well as a loud disco right next to the lobby. . All the sockets in the hotel, both in the guest rooms and in the lobby, are falling out of the walls so that the plugs fall out when you plug them in the socket. I had to use the kettle in my room to prevent the plug from falling out, and in the lobby, I used a seat cushion to help the plug stay plugged in. Unacceptable for a 4-star hotel. . There was no tap water in all 3 sinks in the ladies room, next to the reception desk. So no washing hands after using the lavatory there, which flushed fine. . The hotel staff are all male (except one Dutch female at the reception) and they demand a lot of attention from the solo female guests, by constantly bothering them with "hello" and asking "everything ok?". This is not being friendly, it's rude, as it happens too often. No one needs to be told "hello" by every single staff member that passes by. Just keep walking. No female can handle, or likes, THAT much attention. I spoke to another female guest, who was also there solo, and she also found all this "friendly" attention stressful. Yes, STRESSFUL. The hotel management really need to reign in these men and tell them to be professional and keep their distance. . The lighting in the guest rooms is dim, even when all the lights are on, too dim to read. So there's not much use for the rooms other than to sleep. You can't read there, you can't use the internet there, the TV channels are pretty useless, and if your room is on the pool side with all the activity and music, you can't sit quietly on your balcony, read a book, and enjoy the sound of the waves crashing on to the beach, as there's constant LOUD music by the pool. Sometimes they even had both Arabic and Western music blaring out of the loudspeakers at the same time! Just awful. On the other side, there's the quiet pool, which has a creepy, perverse male staff member walking around, checking out the female guests. Occasionally, other staff members, both young and old, come by to greet you, disrespecting the fact that you're trying to read a book and enjoy the sunshine in peace. I sat by the quiet pool once and never again. . The male employees on the beach went so far as to be catcalling!!! That really pissed me off, and I told them to F.O. so as to give them a clear message to leave me alone. It was my first day, and I didn't want to be dealing with their catcalling every day. They got the message, but it's a shame that one has to be rude to them to get them to back off. I blame management for not training their staff properly. . If you like to enjoy a nice cup of coffee in the morning, you can forget about that. The coffee there is disgusting, undrinkable. . The prices in hotel shops are a rip-off, double the prices at airport. I wanted to buy a package of incense, but the seller wanted 10 Euros for it, so I didn't buy it. I found the exact same packet of incense upon departure at the airport, for 5 Euros, and bought it there. . The hotel has the same staff 24/7. There is one guy at the reception desk who is there every morning, every afternoon, every evening, and every night. He seems to work 12+ hour shifts, 7 days a week. Same goes for the restaurant staff, who are there for breakfast, lunch, and dinner; same staff at pool 24/7, same staff cleaning the guest rooms 24/7. So essentially, at the hotel, you're living with these people the whole time you're there. And they watch your every move, and "hello" you to death. . The communication between the reception staff is bad. On my last day, I called in the morning to ask to check out an hour after the official check-out time. Whoever answered the phone said he will ask the manager and call back in 5 minutes. 30 minutes later, the manager called me, said he is the manager and gave his permission for me to check out an hour later. When I checked out, the Dutch lady at reception (the only female working there) told me very rudely that I was supposed to check out at 12pm. I told her I had arranged for a late check-out, but she didn't believe me. She also ignored me when I left a message at the reception to talk to her as I needed some help with my return journey. The guy at reception told me she was the one to talk to about this, and he would tell her to see me when she got to the hotel. When she got to the hotel, I was in the lobby, and she walked by my 3 or 4 times without talking to me, when every other time she walked by me - when I didn't need her help - she greeted me and sometimes stopped to have a chit-chat. So either the guy at the reception didn't bother to inform her that I needed her help, or he did inform her, but she didn't care. Eventually, she did come up to me and innocently asked how things were going. I told her I was waiting for her as I needed her help and asked if the guy at the reception had told her I was waiting for her. She said, no, he didn't tell her. Then, after half-helping me with the journey, she had the audacity to ask me to give the hotel a good review on a certain website. At checkout, she wanted me to tell her what were the points of improvements for the hotel. I told her I didn't like how everyone kept saying hello to me every five minutes, and that the other solo female guest had told me she didn't like it either. Her reply was, well this is Egypt, they're like that. Then I told her there was no water in the taps in the bathrooms next to the lobby, and again her reply was, this is Egypt. As if Egypt has no water!! So I asked her why did she ask for "points of improvements" if her response to everything is "this is how it is in Egypt", implying that nothing can be improved. . The hotel is not all bad! The beds are very comfy, and the rooms are lovely and very clean. It's the cleanest hotel I've ever been in. The bathrooms are also spacious and clean. There are 18 TV channels, but half of them are Arabic channels, and then there's one in each language - BBC news, a German channel, a French channel, an Italian channel, a Russian channel, etc. . The food is very, very good, with lots of choice of veggies, meats, breads, rice, potatoes, cakes, and fruit. They serve local beer and wine, the beer is very good, the wine rather sweet. The food is organic, good quality, local, and seasonal. So if you come in the winter you'll have strawberries but no mangos. . The entertainment duo, Ace & Sam, are the highlight of the hotel. They are very respectful, fun, and know how to communicate with the guests in a professional, friendly manner. They are external, hired by the hotel to entertain the guests, but should also be hired to teach the hotel staff how to deal with the guests, as all the guests loved this duo. . The management team is very helpful, friendly and respectful. They solve problems effortlessly. When I woke up the first day, and saw that my room was in the shade, they let me switch to another room, in the sun, and close to the beach. However, they seemed to be totally unaware that the guests who come in January, come for rest, relaxation, and sunshine, not to socialize and say "hello" every 5 minutes. 90% of the guests were in their 50s and 60s, and were not interested in loud music by the pool or the disco in the evening/night. This seemed to escape the management. They need to understand the needs of their guests better. All the guests were from Europe, none from the Americas, Asia, or Africa. January guests from Europe are different to Summer guests from Europe. The Summer guests are probably younger and have the energy to dance, party, and play. . In conclusion, this hotel is not worth the full price; it's worth it if you can get a good discount, as I did, thankfully.
