We had a wonderful stay at Cave Beach Resort in Hurghada, and a big part of our experience was thanks to Chloe and Rio. Their service was truly exceptional from start to finish. Both Chloe and Rio were incredibly friendly, professional, and always willing to help with a smile. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our stay, paying attention to even the smallest details. Their positive attitude, kindness, and dedication to guest satisfaction made us feel genuinely welcomed and valued. It’s rare to come across staff members who are so passionate about providing outstanding service. Chloe and Rio are a real credit to Cave Beach Resort, and they helped make our holiday even more memorable. Thank you both for your excellent hospitality—we hope to see you again on our next visit!

From the moment you arrive at the cave’s beach resort you are greeted by the reception who put your wrist band on and say welcome to the cave’s resort you have a staff member who will take your suitcase to your room we arrived at night time so had the beautiful view of all the lights around the resort which was beautiful. Rooms are nice and big each day the cleaners make an animal out of towels on your bed. For food I loved going to bettys bar the staff member Mohammed is a really friendly guy great fun two big pools which are lovely once you get used to the water overall this is definitely 5 star hotel

First of all the hotel room so such a unique experience have no complaints for it, everything was beautiful and clean, lots of choices for cocktails there’s the odd one that u pay extra for but most are included with the all inclusive, food was nice, animation team are very friendly and there are lots of stuff through out the day to do, we also went to paradise island and booked this with the hotel they do lots of excursions here. Sunbeds are comfy, snack bar was our favourite only thing is if u want the pizza then be prepared to wait for a good half an hour for them to make it, the burgers and chips came a lot quicker. The pool is cold but is nice like that tho when the temperatures are scorching and of course the weather here is beautiful. The beach is okay but if you want to go in the sea you have to walk for miles to get in up to your waist, we went to the three restaurants that are included in the stay and they were all lovely bam bam restaurant was deffo my favourite the steak in there is really good. They have shops just outside the entrance which was handy. They have a club here but you have to pay to get in, and certain party’s they do like the beach party also comes at a cost. All pools open at 8am which is great if you like to go for early morning swim oh and not to mention all the cats and kittens here they were so cute I wish I had brought cat treats, so if you dislike or are allergic to cats or something then this may not be the hotel for you.

I feel the best way to give this review is break it down. There was some positive and negative in our stay but I will be honest throughout. My partner and I (both late 40s) stayed here for a week. Positives :- Check in - it was swift and we were shown to our room very quickly. They also laid on a late night tea for arrivals (we got there around 10:30pm) Rooms - We had a deluxe room over looking one of the pools. It was clean, tidy, huge, they also decorated the bed as we were out there for our anniversary. It was cleaned every day and fresh towels etc stocked up and they left cute little towel designs on the bed on some days. Food - There are 3 A La Carte restaurants which were included in our stay. 100% recommend the Teppanyaki. It was an experience. Amazing!!! Bam Bam Grill was nice food as was Wilma Oriental. Just an FYI. Wilma Oriental we were expecting Asian cuisine as that’s what it said. It’s more like a Greek / Cypriot mezze, however, still good. Bettys Bar does the most amazing home cooked pizza for lunch and burgers and fries, their fries are seasoned and amazing. You can wait a while to be served so sometimes it’s best to go to the bar yourself or go when the initial lunch rush is over. The main restaurant, open for breakfast, lunch and tea serves all sorts. They have themed nights for tea - Mexican, oriental, Asian etc. Breakfast, there is a man making fresh omelettes and pancakes or breakfast panini!! Plus loads of other options. You’d have to be super food fussy to not find something you like for any meal there. The breads at lunch and tea are divine by the way!! Pools - The main pool up the front of the hotel is the “party pool”. It’s the only heated one. Although when it’s 35+ degrees you don’t need a heated pool. It’s right near the main restaurant and a bar. This is the only pool we didn’t spend time at, music is super loud. I like music but I still want to be able to have a conversation without shouting. Bedrock Bay - has a pool table in the pool and a swim up bar. Toilets there were super clean. They change your beach towel daily for you, either when they see you arrive or you can just ask them, and during the day if it’s wet they’ll change it. The pool is lovely and also has a hot tub and a jacuzzi there too. They bring iced coffee around at 10am and do regular waiter service if you don’t want to swim to the bar. Mohammed and Wafky at the bar were amazing. So friendly. They also do panini which is lovely if you want a snack but don’t want to go far. Lazy River Pool - I’ve no idea if that’s what it is called but that’s what we called it as it looks like it should be a lazy river. Again, waiter service with drinks, fresh towels, always clean around the pool. Toilets are a little walk away to Bettys Bar if you’re the top end of it, if you’re at the bottom end I’d guess you’d use the ones in the main bar. Resort Cleanliness - couldn’t fault it at all. Every morning people were out washing the walkways, sweeping leaves, cleaning pools, at mealtimes the wait staff were there cleaning and tidying tables quickly. All toilets were spotless and smelled so clean throughout the whole day and night. Staff - every single member of staff was lovely, whether it was at a bar, restaurant, security at night, lifeguard. They were so polite and friendly. We felt very safe in the resort. Laundry Service - for the first time ever, I decided to use a hotel laundry service. They had an offer for the day before you fly for laundry. I decided to do this and my laundry come back washed, pressed and folded and smelt divine. Negatives :- The air con is noisy, we ended up blasting the room in evening when getting ready and for a short time when we were back and then sleeping with it off. The fridge is also noisy. We unplugged it at night. Both of these could be as we aren’t heavy sleepers but see how you go. Pools - We didn’t experience this ourselves, but a few people were cutting their feet at the pool table part of the pool due to loose tiles, we saw a few people get out that then needed medical attention, one guy had stitches it was that bad! Holiday Belly - Both of us had holiday belly all week. Not feeling poorly with it but, well, without being too graphic, you get the idea. I was actually sick once which was definitely something I ate that evening but otherwise I was ok just loose tummy all week same as my partner. This could be down to the ice in drinks, the colouring in cocktails we’ve no idea as like I said, we weren’t poorly with it. Just “Egypt Belly”. Get to a chemist as soon as you can and buy a medicine called Antinel. It’ll hopefully help you sooner if you experience it, as we discovered it on our last day. Entertainment - it’s substandard at best. If you come for a decent entertainment schedule then it’s not for you. There were two pool parties with foam and inflatables etc. I mean, it’s not our thing. Sometimes it also didn’t match the schedule. We were looking forward to the fire show which didn’t happen. Lava Disco - this is an extra charged event which we didn’t buy into but speaking to others it definitely wasn’t worth it anyhow. Drinks are chargeable as extra and the atmosphere is not great. Shops on site - there are a few shops on site. They’re very “grabby”. Went for a look and almost got chased into a shop. It’s also massively overpriced. There’s shops just outside the resort which are cheaper for things. Sales People - around all the pools you’ll be “sold” their massages, trips, tattoos, photos etc. We were comfortable with a “no thanks we’re good” straight away. Some people were letting them give the whole sales pitch and then couldn’t get rid of them. They will try and push it on you, if you say “maybe later in the week” they will hunt you down. If you don’t want it say from the off. We were left in peace after a day or two. Check Out - unless you pay for a late checkout £10 an hour!! You have to be out by midday. Not a problem as you can still chill but as soon as you’ve checked out they cut your armband and give it back to you as a scrap so you can still get drinks etc. I mean with a plane to catch it’s not like I’m going to “pop by tomorrow for an iced coffee”. Feels a little “get out and go” rather than a “enjoy us until the last minute”. Never had that before at an all inclusive resort. Summary - this is our second time in Egypt, first time in Hurghada. Holiday belly was definitely worse this time but like I said, it didn’t ruin the holiday at all. Not sure I’d come back to the Caves. It’s adult only but needs to decide if it’s adult only or 18-30s. Think they’re trying to be both. We’re the wrong end of 40 so foam parties and inflatable climbing frame in the pool are not really our thing. What I absolutely couldn’t fault and loved is they have nailed the “Caves Atmosphere” the layout and sculpture of the hotel and grounds is something I’ve never seen before. The staff are amazing, the rooms are fantastic and despite holiday belly I loved the food choices. I enjoyed not having kids around and the adult only vibe but it was too geared at 18-30 vibes for me and not the broad spectrum of adults.
