We had an amazing stay at Cook’s Club El Gouna. Having never visited Egypt before, we weren’t really sure what to expect and whether we would feel outside of our comfort zone, but we had such a relaxing and stress-free time at Cook’s Club which is just what we were looking for. The setting on the lagoon is beautiful, and the location near downtown is ideal for being able to walk to nearby shops and restaurant. You can easily get a tuk tuk from outside the reception to the other parts of El Gouna for a set rate of 50 EGP, which made travel easy and fun. What made our stay at Cook’s Club was definitely the staff, they are so friendly and really go out of their way to cater for you. Shoutout to Salam the pool concierge especially! We went half board and also found the food to be fantastic. The only drawback of our stay was the noise from the downtown bars, which was quite loud our first night. Luckily we were able to move rooms the next day to a quieter part of the hotel, and we had no issues after that. The rooms themselves are very minimalistic and definitely suit the sustainability aspect of the hotel, however I think they would benefit from a little more storage and lighting. There were no drawers, only shelves and so it could feel a little messy having everything out on display all the time. It’s also quite dark due to the decor and small amount of lighting. We did however have a lovely terrace which made up for the lack of space/light in the room. The pool area is nice, with very comfy sun loungers and large towels that cover most of the bed. We enjoyed having food and drink brought to the loungers. I didn’t find the music too loud, it made for a nice atmosphere, and the addition of having floats in the pool meant you could relax when it got too hot. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back in a heartbeat.

“Amazing hotel!”

Amazing hotel with lots of fun activities and great service! Rooms were clean, food was great and vibe was really good! Loved the private beach as well as the pool. Also location was really good, right next to Downtown! Would absolutely recommend.
