We got the room we paid for eventually .Majority of staff are not happy in fact often look clearly fed up, the guy in grey in the towel hut by active bar very rude indeed. Everything seems such hard work if you ask for anything. The day we went to get waffles at the Wave pool (that was closed) ,they give you 1/4 of a waffle, the staff were more interested to chat to each other and watch their phones and were miserable and didn't want to show interest. Such a shame the staff obviously don't care or understand customer service. I would give this hotel 3 stars for this reasons stated, rather than 5 star for standards, I've stayed in other 3 stars in Egypt and 4s and 5s, this one is very average. On positive notes , the cleaners in the rooms were Ok, but book a deluxe room. The food is about 3 star standard for choice but good quality produce, well cooked, bit repetitive but always something to choose from. The Chinese a la carte was good for a change. Great breakfast to start the day . Beach bar pizza was nice. The entertainment was hit and miss and stuck in the 1980s the Magic show was awful , Acrobats good, I think the hotel should get more professional acts in. Mini disco good for kids. The Aquafit with Firas was very good, lovely guy. The guys in red, lifeguards at the pools are wonderful finding sun beds for everyone. The gardens are stunning, well done to all the gardening team very pretty, well manicured. I've been to 5/6 other hotels in Egypt and this one least friendly, a smile costs nothing . Everything seemed too much effort. Even reception team don't smile. Afternoon tea seemed non existent, you only get chips at the Active bar with a nugget thing or fish cheap and grim , same thing everyday . Slush drinks only at 1pm if your lucky and no more made, kids never got one , ice-cream if they have any only at certain times. Only 2 flavours. I have to say we have had a nice holiday, not perfect but it was what we made it. It just seemed very stuck in an old fashioned vibe and unhappy teams. If you don't like smoking though don't go, you can't use some areas as people smoke everywhere, the reception area stinks of cigarettes from the terrace as the smoke wafts in, most hotels now have certain smoking areas and a smoking policy but this hotel still allows it, very behind the times, not nice around the pool with kids. Please consider this a good change to make. To the hotel .... your hotel has so much potential , yes it is one of the cheaper options but you are cutting corners making it detrimental to the standards , the drinks are pretty bad , very cheap alcohol which you can't taste, is it diluted? What can you do to make staff to be happier ? It could be a wonderful hotel if these things were corrected.

Overall good value for money and compatible to other hotels in Egypt that we have visited. It is on the cheaper end of the scale so some compromise is needed in expectations. Rooms are comfortable, we had a two bed room which was set out well and beds surprisingly ok. Also quiet enough. Food is as you’d expect in Egypt, lacking variety but is the same as most hotels in Egypt. Restaurants seemed to struggle getting tables ready when busy. No problem booking à la carte and appeared to be no limit unless stated on 1 or 2 of them. You do this via the app and you get a code on arrival to log in. Pools are as per the photos and plentiful, sunbeds were a challenge if up late but always managed to get them, even if from the reserve pile on the side. This was at 8.30am with the usual towel reserves that they eventually turn up hours later. Middle main pool is heated slightly, I presume during not summer months. Grounds are nice, as is the lobby areas. They could do with repairing the tiles around the place but more of a visual than a problem. Wi Fi is pretty good most of the time. Entertainment is ok, but my main complaint is that there is not a bar at the theatre and is a walk to the sports bar to refill, we eventually just abandoned it and didn’t go, mainly sitting in the sports bar and then moving to the middle restaurant bar before heading back. Beach is gritty, not pure sand, but is ok. Lots of sealife in the sea, jelly fish (not harmful), star fish and blue spotted stingray ! You can snorkel off the pier. Some construction works going on around the outer of the hotel elsewhere and inside but hardly noticeable. Staff really friendly and helpful. I used Viator for excursions for the first time on this one and have to say they are the same as others much cheaper. Overall a great family holiday.

Visited as a family of 5 with 3 rooms, the staff were nice and friendly but there were times when you felt overwhelmed by being asked if you wanted spa treatments or diving experiences or to join in for the daily activities all whilst trying to switch off lying on a sun lounger trying to relax- on one day we were disturbed 38 times. We were all inclusive but still asked if we wanted to pay £10 or $10 for evening entertainment in a separate bar area where we could win prizes. Don’t get me wrong the place is lovely and the staff who don’t have to ‘sell’ are genuinely friendly but sometimes you just want a holiday to relax and switch off and not be harassed. We found the best place to be left alone was on the beach, the pier was lovely and the lifeguards happy and observant. The staff work very hard at keeping the grounds and rooms immaculate and it is kept incredibly clean.
