20-30 minutes from the airport, 10 minutes to the beach by shuttle where more shops are, amazing staff who cannot do enough for you, food selection was brilliant never went hungry, service at any meal times and also getting drinks was fabulous. Swim up room was really nice but does lose the sun around mid day but we spent most our time by the kids slide pools. There is always sunbeds available. The hotel grounds are amazing and are always being cleaned or maintained. Cocktails could be better just make sure you ask them to have alcohol in them otherwise they come as a mocktail. Our room cleaner was amazing and always left us a towel creation everyday! Would definitely return.

“The best holiday”

The best holiday from start to finish. Really good food and drinks. The staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for you, kids club was a big hit with our little boy. Will definitely be coming back.

Seated and offered a welcome drink while checking passports and checking in, etc. Nothing was explained restaurant times, etc. was told to scan the qr code for all info. Room 4124, while dated, was very clean and nice enough. Only had a small tv on the bedroom dresser, which wasn't the best. Mini bar in the room was quite expensive €2 for a can of pop, so we asked the hotel to empty it and went to spinneys supermarket where cans of pop are around 24p each so stocked up from here for drinks and snacks for the room. ( I was surprised as other 5 star hotels we've been to the mini bar was free) but hey ho no big drama. The bathroom only had a shower, unfortunately, no bath, but it was good enough for what's needed. Food at Amayra main buffet restaurant was good, BBQ most nights, which was either grilled fish or chicken or kebab. And many other options all good enough. Breakfast was good fresh omelette every morning for me and the beef bacon was nice. Late breakfast at the snack bar near the main pool was hit and miss its advertised to start at 10am but we waited til 10.30 and the crepes had not started to be cooked some days it was 10.45 consistent timing would have helped. Lunch at the snack bars was good, Our favourite was the one by block 4 that did nice pizzas. Other snack bars did burgers chicken nuggets, hot dogs, etc. A la carte we chose for the one free visit was Paprika and the food was very nice, probably the best meal we had on the holiday. The beef tenderloin was beautiful. (This was booked by the hotel reception as the screen near the reception desk wasn't working properly) Daytime entertainment was good enough, Water basketball, water polo, family games, and darts were good. The tennis court was nice to use and free, you can book a slot for this in the gym. Evening entertainment was poor the majority of our 11 night stay. Poor production and acts. The fire show was good and the magician, but some of the singers were very poor. We've stopped at the Hilton and the entertainment there is a different class weather they have a different budget I don't know. Kids could play football in the football area from 9pm most nights my son really enjoyed this and leni from animation team was his favourite coach. Pool table near the arcade you have to book 30 min slots for the evening these can be booked from the bar from 1pm for evening use on same day. Had a few discussions with other family's waiting for a turn and the mood soured when informed about booking procedure. The pink party was fantastic. DJ was brilliant also. Water Park was good. Some slides were heated, others not. The only downside to the water park for me was that every slide required a tool to use either a rubber ring or mat. It would have been nice to use a slide or two without them. They could also do with a machine to carry the rafts up the steps as they are cumbersome to move. Ice creams were ok. It was a little disappointing that the premium ice creams from the little vendor near the lobby entrance were €2 each. I think it was this was for oreo and other tub ice creams. I used the Sauna and Steam room which was nice enough €20 or €25 to use, again other hotels these have been free to use but I suppose it stops everyone going in them and crowding etc. Trips we did Sea Scope semi submarine through falcon tours. We really enjoyed this and it was nice to see marine life and fish etc We took a taxi to the marina for a meal out and was surprised at the amount of nice restaurants there it's a whole different experience. We ate at lucas pub had a nice meal, 3 big steak dinners and a burger stack, 2 beers 5 cokes 1 milk shake and 4 deserts came to £56 which I thought was a bargain. (Taxi to the marina was like whacky races prepare to be entertained or scared 😅) We also did the quad safari through the hotel which was good, we would have used falcon but you have to be 16 to drive the quad with them and with the hotel my son at 12 had his own and daughter at 10 could have had her own but chose to ride with me. Shuttle bus to the beach was easy enough to navigate and the snack bar down at the beach was good plenty of sun beds etc jaz aquaviva has its own little area. Lots of other hotels are down here with shops and pharmacy etc it was nice to have a walk around. They put on a street party one night with street magicians and dance acts across a few stages was decent enough. This was down at the streets before the beach area. The hotel has a great potential but what was lacking for me was No sports bar had to watch football on small tv in the bedroom. No teens club (playstation pool tables basketball machines etc to keep the teens entertained during the day ) My son did get bored after a 6 or so days only so much water park and pool you can do. They do have an arcade but who wants to smash through €2 euro a game. Again in other hotels these have been free of charge. The ping pong football table and other family games are put away during the evening I think to force people into the arcade to spend money which was a shame. All in all a nice Easter break away. Would we come to this hotel again maybe if a good deal came about.

“Fun, good food & comfort”

Beautiful hotel, rooms are clean with good size balcony. Staff are frendly and the food is really good.
