Well, definitely worth 5*. Actually, on the date of writing this review, we are still staying at the hotel, but already have something to say We have had a wonderful time from 13 until 20 May Cleaning department: Everything is really clean, room cleaning is perfect, the territory is very well maintained, and the gardens, trees, and surroundings are beautifully green and cared for. Animation team: We have enjoyed our whole stay. The daily program is nice, everybody is friendly and lovely, and we didn’t want to leave the hotel for a single day. These people truly gave us a great time and a lot of fun Kitchen / food / drinks: Good variety of food and cocktails with perfect service. Bartenders, waiters - very friendly and became like a friends. Sabry - Thanks for the best cocktails )) And a separate thanks to our tennis coach. We just decided to try tennis once, but actually visited him three times. His approach is very kind and professional I could write more and more, about aqua park, food, personnel, rooms etc., but eventually I can’t describe everything :) So, just to summarise, this place is mostly about people. Even the bus driver from hotel to beach gave us some fun by turning on fun music and singing. Thanks to the whole team for being friendly, helping with whatever is needed, and giving us such a great time. We will definitely come back!

I would like to give very positive feedback about our stay at JAZ Aquaviva Hurghada. Honestly, this has been one of the best hotel experiences we have ever had in Egypt. The staff are extremely friendly, cooperative, professional, and always smiling. The hotel is very clean and well organized, and whenever we needed anything, the team responded very quickly and helped us immediately. The reception staff were especially wonderful. A special thank you to Lidia at reception — she was incredibly kind, supportive, and helpful throughout our stay. We mentioned that it was close to our little girl’s birthday, and the staff were very caring and made us feel truly welcomed and appreciated. The level of service here is outstanding. Everyone works with genuine hospitality and respect, and you can really feel that the staff care about the guests. Thank you to the whole JAZ Aquaviva team for making our stay so enjoyable and memorable. We will definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family and would love to come back again.

I needed a ground floor room as struggling after my treatment and this was accommodated, they also put an extra topper on my bed. The entertainment team are great and have seen some excellent shows this time. David has been excellent with his card and magic tricks. The barmen also are great and kept us topped up. Can’t wait to return later in the year with the grandkids to our favourite second home

My second home It may seem at times like I’ve moaned or criticised parts of the hotel throughout this review, but honestly it’s only because we care so much about this place. As a returning guest you naturally notice changes compared to previous visits. The reason I’ve mentioned certain things is because I genuinely believe they are constructive points that could make an already lovely hotel even better. Hotel This is my fifth time at Jaz Aquaviva as a disabled customer. This is an honest and balanced review that I’ve put into sections, hoping this would stop me from waffling on so here it goes. Room Family room with pool view. Large and spacious. 2 sofas in front room that turn into beds. 1 huge comfy queen bed. Comfy pillows. TV. Air con. Towels, hairdryer, shaving kit & flannels + plug socket for razors/electric toothbrushes, x2 mirrors for those that need a close up. There is a step to get into the shower, once in there is a grab rail. Bath mats have been added however are incredibly hard so was not able to stand on them, so I put a towel down to stand on which helped. Shout out to housekeeping for the towel decorations ❤️ I love to see them and it’s great guessing what we will have next. We get disappointed when there isn’t one haha. Room service Some nights I was unable to get to the restaurant through pain so got room service. The menu has changed but feel the options have been reduced and spaghetti meatballs has gone 😭 - few more options would be nice please 😁 Pool There are a few pools to choose from depending on the vibe you want. Firstly, a huge shout out to Goulfan (apologies if I’ve spelt that wrong!) who is the pool manager and an absolute diamond. He genuinely goes above and beyond for guests and works so hard to make sure everyone is happy and looked after. There are honestly so many amazing pool staff to thank and with lots of duplicate names I’d probably end up missing somebody 😂 but special love to Goulfan & Islam ❤️ At this point they honestly feel more like extended family than hotel staff after seeing them time after time. The activity pool (the main pool) is where everything happens — aqua aerobics, pool volleyball, pool basketball, beer pong, inflatables and all the fun daytime activities. Yes, it’s lively, yes it can be noisy and yes there is music playing throughout the day, but that’s what makes the atmosphere fun and keeps the energy going around the pool. If that’s not your thing though, don’t worry — there is also a quieter family pool and an adults-only pool upstairs near the main restaurant (accessible by lift which is great for those with mobility needs). Both are perfect for a more relaxing pace - maybe guests that are unaware of this need showing or directing to as it’s not well sign posted. One thing I will say is that the atmosphere around the main pool didn’t quite feel the same this year compared to our previous visits. In past years the music and entertainment created such a fun, lively holiday vibe and it’s honestly one of the big reasons we keep coming back time after time. This year though, it felt a little flatter and less energetic at times, which was genuinely quite sad for us as returning guests. I do think a better playlist and slightly louder music would help bring that fun atmosphere back again — especially as the activity pool is designed to be the lively, social pool of the resort where games, music and entertainment are all part of the experience. I touch more on this later in the review under the entertainment section, but it’s something we really hope returns because that atmosphere is part of what made Jaz Aquaviva feel so special to us. There are ladders into the pools and also steps with handrails in the main pool which really helps with accessibility. And don’t forget the splash park & water park — there are so many slides adults & kids absolutely love it! There is waiter service around the pool however there was often only one member of staff carrying huge trays of drinks around the entire area. Massive shout out to Ishmal who works his socks off all day whilst still smiling, interacting with guests and entertaining the kids too. If it takes a little while for drinks to arrive please be patient — he’s genuinely doing his best. Maybe a few extra staff members around the pool area would help both staff and guests during busy periods. Alternatively the bar is very close if you fancy grabbing your own drinks. Restaurant The food overall is good with plenty to choose from, although a little repetitive at times. Maybe introducing more clear themed nights would help add a bit more variety and keep things fresh for returning guests — things like a Chinese night, seafood night, Indian night or a traditional Egyptian themed evening would be amazing and would really elevate the dining experience. That being said, the restaurant staff are absolutely incredible. There are honestly too many people to name individually because every single one of them works so hard and genuinely can’t do enough for you. Always smiling, always helpful and constantly making sure guests are looked after. You will always find something to eat — pasta, fries, soup, bread, salads, rice, meat, fish and the desserts are amazing! Definitely dangerous for anyone with a sweet tooth 😂 Keep up the good work everyone. The snack bar by the main pool is also great during the day and serves burgers, pizza, chicken nuggets, chicken shawarma sandwiches, waffles and ice cream from 12:30-5pm which is perfect if you don’t want to leave the pool area. You also get access to the à la carte restaurants, two upstairs in the main building and more which are just a short shuttle bus ride down towards the beach area. If I remember rightly, you receive one included visit for every 7 days of your stay, which is a really nice extra to break things up a little. Bars There are 4 bars around the resort, all with a different vibe depending on what you fancy. The inside bar deserves a huge shout out to Kareem & Raffette — once again, now feel like family after us returning time after time. Hands down the best cocktail makers there and the only two who consistently know how to make an amazing margarita 😂 One thing I will say though is the drinks can sometimes be a little inconsistent depending on who is making them, so once you find your favourite bartender… stick with them lol. I’d also love to see a bit more cocktail variety introduced because the menu has stayed the same every visit. Honestly, give Kareem & Raffette the job of creating a new cocktail menu because I know they’d absolutely smash it and have great fun doing it too! The terrace bar staff also work incredibly hard. There’s usually a queue in the evenings but it normally moves pretty quickly considering how busy it gets, so shout out to all the staff there for keeping everyone going. The outside bar near the main stage could probably do with a few extra waiters during show times because so many guests sit around that area in the evenings. That being said, if you don’t fancy waiting it’s easy enough to walk up to the bar yourself. There is also a quieter bar by the quiet pool which is perfect if you want a more relaxed atmosphere during the day. Aqua park There is a splash park for little ones and the water park for the bigger kids/adults. They do shut down at peak times between 12-2 if I’m not mistaken as it’s the hottest point of the day. Entertainment As we’ve been before, we already knew what to expect from the entertainment — although the incredible new stage was a fantastic improvement because you can actually see the shows now (unless someone decides to stand directly in front of you or walk across every 2 minutes 😂). There is a two week programme of shows, one every night. We were hoping for a bit more of a switch up this year with some new acts and fresh entertainment as there were shows we’d already seen. That being said, the African dance show is an absolute MUST see, Arabian Nights was amazing as was the White Party & Pink Pool Party. Also defo go to support your animation team on Sundays for their performance. They are fantastic and work so hard. Tito & David — my guys again! At this point they honestly feel like extended family after seeing them year after year. They will always make you smile and make your holiday more fun. And I can’t forget my girl Kitkat! She’s a little ball of sunshine — energetic, hilarious, the perfect amount of crazy 😂 and she’s my girl, let’s not forget Alfronzo! He needs more dance time also! Him and kit together make a great comedy duo! I hope you keep hold of them as they truly make the place! The White Party & Pink Pool Party especially were brilliant with fire shows, dancers and giant inflatable pool games. You can see the entertainment budget has improved and honestly with just a little extra investment it could become truly incredible. One thing that really disappointed us this year though — and something many returning guests were talking about — and current guest too was the atmosphere around the main pool. One of the biggest reasons we kept returning to this hotel over and over again was the fun lively vibe around the activity pool, but this year it just wasn’t the same. I think you may need your old DJ back 👀 At one point at 10:30 in the morning they played Celine Dion “My Heart Will Go On” by the main pool and that pretty much sums it up 😂 The music was also played so quietly that if your sat around the second pool with lots of kids playing you could barely hear it. It’s absolutely a family resort and nobody expects nightclub vibes all day, but the main pool is the activity pool (music is off between 1-3) — music, games and energy are part of what makes it fun. Guests wanting peace and quiet already have other options. Louder music or extra speakers spread around the pool area would completely improve the atmosphere without blasting everyone’s ears off. Also after the evening shows, it would be lovely if the terrace/bar area stayed lively a little longer. The singers before dinner started quite late this visit and then everything seemed to completely shut down around 10:30-10:45pm. Even just some relaxed fun music in the bar until 11:30/midnight would make such a difference for adults who don’t have children or the ones wanting to unwind after the kids go to bed — and would probably stop guests bringing out multiple speakers and creating 7 different playlists at once (yes… I’m guilty 😂). We genuinely want to come back again this year — we just hope the fun pool atmosphere returns because that energy was one of the things that made us return time after time. Accessibility I have a functional neurological disorder which creates severe pain in my legs (I have many other issues also). This means I use a mobility scooter to get around and crutches for very small distances. Everywhere is accessible for me to get to with a couple of exceptions; the adults only pool area has a step when you get out of the lift to get and no ramp, and the ramp going up to the terrace area (on the right as you look at the main building from the activity pool is quiet steep. However, the staff will always help you, hold the door, get anything you need. There is also doctor on site. Staff The staff here are incredible - treat me like family which is why we come back year after year (plus Egypt is a big place to explore). I enjoy the fact it’s familiar, the same staff are there and the standards are always high. You know where everything is and for someone who needs an accessible hotel this is it. This is my home. Mohammed, Hossam and Lydia — the little sweetheart on reception — were all absolutely lovely throughout our stay. And another huge shout out to my main guys Ahmed & Khalid. Honestly, these two can’t do enough for you. They are always smiling, always happy to help and always so welcoming and friendly no matter how busy they are. After coming here year after year, they genuinely feel more like brothers than hotel staff. They are a huge part of why this hotel feels like home to us. Absolute credit to Jaz Aquaviva! ❤️ Guest relations If you need any extra help during your stay, definitely speak to guest relations — they are amazing! A shout out to Jenna but a special shout out to Nicole, who truly goes above and beyond every single day. Nothing is ever too big or too small for her, and she always helps with a smile on her face. She’s kind, funny, friendly and genuinely makes you feel so welcome — by the end of your holiday you’ll feel like you’ve made a new friend. She is an absolute credit to Jaz Aquaviva and honestly deserves a promotion for how hard she works and how much she cares about guests. Don’t let this gem go, Aquaviva! ❤️ There is an on site shop which is pretty expensive but there is a shopping mall about 20 mins from the hotel. It is €20 for two ways (Uber does work out there just make sure you confirm the price and Indrive works too). If you fancy venturing out of the hotel, the marina is amazing (about 35 mins away). There are lots of bars and restaurants with pretty scenery. Then there is Sheraton street up the road from the marina for shopping. The hotel taxi would cost €40 for a return trip. We keep coming back for a reason — the staff, the atmosphere, the memories and the feeling this hotel gives us. If we didn’t love it, we simply wouldn’t return time after time. Everything mentioned has been written with warmth, honesty and good intentions, and hopefully some of the feedback helps continue making Jaz Aquaviva the special place so many returning families know and love ❤️
