A stunning hotel in a simply beautiful location peaceful -yet enough to do activity wise to get the balance - great dive team at scuba world and very friendly helpful staff that made booking and diving fun and a wonderful experience ! We had a swim up room (1017) got lots of lovely sunlight in the morning and shady afternoons but that was great for us - the food was very tasty and lots of it - variety got a bit morning after a weeks stay - but we did eat at the sister hotel just a short walk away the anchor at jaz adults only hotel and the service and food was excellent - tip book the speciality restaurants before you go via emailing the hotel direct - as the internet (app) is very poor and most speciality Resturant were booked up / this was frustrating for us as we were only there for a week - I think this hotel needs to try the walk in option this would be more flexible and relaxed - also outside each speciality Resturant a board with the set menu so people can make a choice - everything was on the app and we couldn’t get it to load for 2 days ! Also breakfast should be extended until 10:30 daily as by 9:45 you had to ask for more tables to be set and staff were starting to clean down the area ! And people were still arriving ! I’ve been to other hotels where they have a station left with a coffee machine and the baked goods for late comers / here at this hotel it’s not adapted and could be for more guest enjoyment Entertainment was ok but the cocktails made by the main bar were excellent some of the best I’ve had at an all inclusive hotel! Were were invited to a fish super on the beach but we declined because we visited port gallibe - the hotel charge 35 euros to the port for a 8mins taxi ride there and back “way too expensive “ - for this service 20euros is reasonable - or the hotel could put on a little mini bus with set times and a booking process for a few euros per person ! The hotel has a lovely relaxed vibe some staff were excellent like Adham around the pool bar always service with a smile and the detox water and ice cream trolley is great here ! The party pool had good music and Aswan behind the bar was always smiling We visited the riviera hotel next door for lunch and had a go at making traditional bread and the food and service was excellent there too ! The sun loungers are much more comfortable there as they had paddling on compared the the has elite they are terrible pool beds (invest in some nice pads for heaves sake ) We also visited the jaz mares sky bar which had stunning views and excellent cocktails but we got charge 15 euros for drinks and were told the sky bar was separate to jaz elite amara but yet we could use the speciality restaurants and drink for free “ under all inclusive - this extra charge needs to be scraped here ! It’s all exclusive everywhere except here ! Madness as we would have used this bar more as too adults who like a nice view and chill but we loved the space ! Overall the staff are super friendly the food is at 7/10 the cocktails are great the entertainment average - the beach and the turtles and sea cow managing and the dive team were fantastic - I would stay at a jaz hotel again and will be back to visit Marsa alam again as the dive spots were fantastic and the snorkeling everyday ! A great week and deffo a hotel worth visiting just needs some tweeks Also we got invited to the cocktail party it was only on for 30 mins with a beautiful Saxaphone player they ran out of sweet treats - they needed more staff present and there was only once choice of cocktail - I wouldn’t bothered getting too excited about it if you miss it - they were handing out plates of sweet cakes ect and we we asked for some we were told finished - if your having a party at least over cater and at least have more than one cocktail on offer !
