We recently stayed at Ecotel in Dahab during our first trip to Egypt, and we honestly loved everything about our experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome and looked after throughout our stay. The hotel itself is beautiful, peaceful, and very well maintained, with amazing views and a relaxing atmosphere. Our room was on level 2 (top room with balcony) and had the most spectacular view of the sea, pool and grounds. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the food was great! This was one of the main things we were looking for when we booked. We stayed for 2 weeks and were all inclusive - no complaints about the food whatsoever!Every member of staff we interacted with was friendly, kind, and helpful. Essam and the team in the restaurant were fantastic and were always on hand to top up that coffee/juice in the morning and drinks in the evening. Zidann and the rest of the animation team were also great! They all do a brilliant job. The daily shuttle bus into Dahab town that was provided is a brilliant idea. It’s for a couple of hours from 11am-1pm or the evening from 8.30-11.30pm. What made this stay even more special was that it was our first time visiting Egypt, and Ecotel gave us such a wonderful first impression of the country. We left with amazing memories and would absolutely love to come back again in the future. Thank you to everyone at Ecotel for making our holiday so special!

I have travelled a lot, and Ecotel Dahab is one of those rare places that genuinely stays with you. The setting is absolutely breathtaking — the combination of the Red Sea, the mountains, the desert landscape and the peaceful atmosphere creates something truly special. It is the perfect place to relax, slow down and reconnect with yourself. One of the most magical things is looking out across the sea and being able to see Saudi Arabia in the distance. The scenery is simply stunning from every angle. The hotel also has its own coral reef directly in front of the beach, which makes snorkelling an incredible experience. There is so much beautiful marine life to see in wonderfully clear water. I loved spending time on the beach, swimming in the sea and simply taking in the peaceful atmosphere. The whole hotel has a calm, gentle energy that makes it very hard to leave. The food was excellent throughout my stay, with plenty of choice and consistently high quality. But what really makes Ecotel special is the people. Every member of staff I met was warm, kind and welcoming. The animation team in particular were an absolute delight — friendly, fun and full of positive energy without ever being intrusive. If you are looking for somewhere peaceful, beautiful and genuinely soulful, I cannot recommend Ecotel Dahab highly enough. A truly wonderful place that I will remember very fondly.

“Love the hotel, not the food.”

Bit out of the way but that adds to the ambiance. we went out of season so very quiet. Room was on the level one so had a great view of the sea and grounds . I thought it was good value . Room was kept clean, although the furniture and decor could do with upgrading. it is a very quiet hotel in April/may. The shuttle bus was useless for us as it didn't leave the times we wanted to go to Dahab town. But taxi's were cheap via Indrive. There's not a great deal to do in the evenings. The animation team were pleasant enough but Seen it all before nothing original. The biggest let down was the food. Breakfast was always the same and as we were there for a month it got very repetitive. In the end just stopped going. The evening food again was very repetitive and just didn't appeal to either myself or my wife. We ended up going into town for our food on most nights. Although Khalid the food and beverage manager did his best to find something for us by finding bus during the day and asking what we wanted to eat. This was ok for a couple of nights but as said it wasn't to our taste. But at least he tried. "Thank you Khalid". I must mention a lady called "Salma " in Guest relation. Salma was very kind to us and sorted out numerous issues we had. And was very disappointed when she was let go. It seemed unfair to us that the person who was most helpful and friendly was given the sack :( . Also the bus that takes you from the reception to the different levels "The taff taff" . was very unreliable. It was supposed to run every 5/6 minutes but 15/20 was the norm and only after asking reception or security to call him. The positive outway the negatives and would definitely come back again. In fact booked to come back in a couple of weeks.
