Amazing week here with my family all 10 of us enjoyed it From the start of the week till leaving the staff was so welcoming & friendly they couldn’t do enough for us the reception got my son a wheel chair cause he hurt his foot Playing paddle which was a great experience & free to play all day we loved playing the pool table at night £5 for 1 hour the pool was amazing my 4 year old loved the little water park where she was looked after by the amazing man called Tahar she loved him he was so caring he would get us our beds every morning & place our towels down all the pool staff was lovely especially momen He made our holiday very special he would talk to us all day making my children laugh they loved him he would get our beds in pool near restaurant The bar man Ali near the pool near restaurant makes the best cocktails very friendly he would bring our drinks to the swim up bar the bar man on the beach was very funny basically all staff at this hotel was just SUPER even the guys doing maintenance & gardening would say hi I love Egyptians The water slides was a lot of fun the entertainment on the beach at night was AMAZING the beach was the best beach iv been on so clean the water was clear with amazing fish & calm for the children to swim in there’s lots of water activities to do we enjoyed walking down the pier the shop on the beach was very cheap the guy was lovely the location was great near shops very easy & cheap to get taxis there was different restaurants to visit on site we loved them all my dad is gluten free they had a full restaurant for him the foam party was fun the rooms are a little dated but we only slept & got changed in there I’m really impressed with the cleaner he was so nice everyday he would change towels it was my 40th & he made special decorations for my bed this hotel has been brilliant thanks we will be back

Hotel: The hotel is probably 3* equivalent in the uk, the rooms are comfortable and very clean if not a little dated, as a family of five we asked for adjoining rooms which the reception desk was more than happy to accommodate even giving us an option of a sea view or overlooking the aqua park Staff: A massive plus point for this hotel. The staff here have been absolutely amazing, especially with the kids. Ahmed has been an excellent room attendant and couldn’t do enough for us in room 7311. Also a special thank you to Ali at the relaxation pool bar, Mahmud at the Terrace Bar and pool attendant Mahmud (I think, he’s off to get married in Cairo this week!) who were great with the kids. They get a hard time from the Russian guests (majority here) but some good manners and a tip here and there goes a long way! Pools: Another strong point for the hotel, the aqua park has a kids pool with kids slides and large pool for swimming plus another mixed pool and some big slides which is great for entertaining the kids for a day. There is also another large pool and the relaxation pool with a swim up bar where Ali will happily be your host, they’re never too busy given the number and size of them, plenty of room to get some 50m lengths in to burn off the previous days calories Food: Not the best offering, two large buffet restaurants which have a similar serving each day, a small menu pizza and pasta and a spicy Mexican and beachside snack bar in the day time. I unfortunately came down with food poisoning whilst here which I cannot be certain was from the food here but I have since been informed to be wary of green salads as they obviously aren’t cooked and tend to be washed in local water if at all which can upset a tourist tummy Beach: Private beach is great and like the pools there are always sun beds available, the water is shallow and due to the high salt level in the Red Sea swimming is easy, a swim out to the end of the pier is easily done, you’ll even get to see some tropical wildlife if you have a snorkel, plenty of fish and crustaceans in the slightly deeper water and above the grass sea beds along side the sandy strip to the end of the pier. Whilst it is a private beach you will still occasionally be hassled to buy camel rides, bracelets, perfume etc by locals. Entertainment: Decent enough for families, mini disco and club dance is a big hit with the kids, some variety is good, belly dancers, foam party, pool party, traditional dancers, acrobats etc. overall not my kinda thing but plenty to see Other facilities: As I mentioned above I did get sick, therefore had to visit the onsite doctor and clinic, in fairness the doctor and the nurse there were very good and had me fixed up for my stomach and also bug bites in no time, the hotel were kind enough to cover the excess on my policy. The go karts definitely need some TLC! But the substitute low power electric quads are ok for the kids if not a tad expensive. There are also kids buggy’s and games etc at a fee and free mini golf, table tennis and padel.

Overall a decent hotel. There were a variety of dishes available in the main restaurants - Floret and Ivory. Ahmed was particularly welcoming in Floret and always had a big smile on his face and a friendly conversation while preparing us fabulous fresh pasta dishes to order. Layali oriental was a highlight where Top Chef Mohammed oversees a team who offer fantastic service and delicious meats from the grill accompanied by a range of fresh salads, breads and dips/sauces. His spiced lentil soup in particular deserves a special mention! Entertainment was available via the animation team who hosted different events daily and were readily available but not at all pushy. Activities such as tennis, ping pong and mini golf kept us entertained however these facilities are in need of some repair and some equipment could do with being replaced. The grounds keepers do a lovely job with all the green areas and beautiful trees and flowers. There are multiple pools and a small aqua park which are kept clean and well maintained by the life guards and pool assistants. Special thanks to Moamen who was very friendly and attentive especially with the kids. The beach location with a jetty for swimming and snorkelling was a refreshing alternative to the pool some days however the jetty does not reach the edge of the reef, which limits the amount of coral and fish you’ll see. Unfortunately other members of staff were a little grumpy at times, one failed to serve us the correct eggs at breakfast on occasion and others took drinks orders but the drinks never arrived. The couple of minor negatives is why I dropped one star
