Stayed at Sharm Grand Plaza Resort for one week with my family and we had a very pleasant experience. Special thanks to Manager Maget Talaat and Ramadan Vega for being extremely polite, professional, and very helpful throughout our stay. They quickly resolved any issues we had and made us feel very welcome. The hotel is very family-friendly and suitable for all ages. The beach was wonderful, with beautiful corals and many colorful fish. There is also a shallow sandy area without corals which is suitable for everyone, including children and people who are not confident swimmers. The pier is excellent for snorkeling. I would recommend bringing your own sea shoes and snorkeling equipment for maximum comfort. The pools were also very good — there are 3 pools suitable for different ages and preferences. Overall, we had a lovely family holiday and would happily recommend this resort.

I had a great stay at Sharm Grand Plaza. Everything was excellent, the hotel was clean, and the atmosphere was very relaxing. The staff were incredibly hospitable and friendly, always ready to help with a smile. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and I would definitely recommend it.

The Reality of the Ratings: The first thing I must mention is a warning about the high scores you see online. The reception staff uses various maneuvers to put guests in an awkward position, pressuring them to provide the highest possible rating right in front of them. In my opinion, this is a very unprofessional and unpleasant practice that masks the real condition of the hotel. Service and Staff: On a positive note, the personnel are generally cheerful, sympathetic, and very warm. They truly try to make sure guests have an enjoyable stay. Location, Pools, and Sea: The location is excellent with very cool green spaces. It features two good pools: one for sunbathing and relaxing, and a 25-meter pool for athletic swimming. However, be aware that the sea in Sharm El Sheikh is extremely shallow and not suitable for traditional swimming. Like the neighboring resorts, there is a pier for snorkeling and swimming, which is beautiful, but you are confined to a very small area. This is the case for both this hotel and those nearby. Room Condition and Facilities: This is not a 5-star establishment; it is more of a 4-star hotel. The entire property is aged and worn out. Everything from the tables and chairs to the showers and phones is dilapidated. They still use old-fashioned physical keys instead of modern key cards. Dining and Drinks: While the food is diverse, the quality of the ingredients seems low. The A la carte restaurant is an interesting change of pace, though it essentially serves the same buffet food on a plate. The bar quality is disappointing. Soft drinks are just sugar and water, and the local alcoholic drinks are of poor quality. All drinks are served in plastic cups, which is terrible for the environment. Moreover, because they don't provide bottles, you cannot take water with you to the beach or pier. Gym and Sports: I strongly advise against using the gym. It is tiny, substandard, and equipped with old, basic, and unsafe machinery. If you want to stay active, it’s much better to jog on the coastal road or swim in the pool. Management and Service Issues: Towels: You cannot exchange your pool/beach towel during the day. You are stuck with one towel from morning until night under the guise of "environmental protection," which is clearly not the true reason. The Shower Room: They offer a room for 30 minutes to late-departure guests. Unfortunately, our experience was terrible: the room was filthy, the towels were used, and there was no soap or shampoo. Even after multiple requests and visits to the reception, it took 30 minutes just to get a towel, making us late for our schedule. Music: The music at the pool and beach was dated and repetitive. The sound system was unprofessional and poor. When I asked the DJ for better music, he was willing to help but lacked the proper equipment, though he eventually managed to download one of my requests on his own. Final Thoughts: The hotel has great potential, but it is in desperate need of a fundamental renovation. I hope the management takes action soon to upgrade these aging facilities.
