This is hotel is a firm favourite of ours having stayed 6 times it really is our 2nd home. The staff are so friendly helpfull smiling all the time including the gardeners who do an amazing job keeping everything in shape nothing is ever 2 much trouble for them. It was good to see so many old friends Mr. Raffat. Fares on reception and lovely jubbly in lobby bar who always makes me smile plus waiters and mgrs in main restraunt which i cannot remember all names and in restraunt by the beach nice and quiet fror early breakfast not as much choice as main but all the basics bread eggs yogurt salads coffee which the waiter brought us over every morning with orange juice and water amazing. This hotel is a great place to chill and unwind or to join in activities for us we chill out. Highly recommend the diamond for everyone and even adding more waterslides, food fabulous as always and the little bus which is great to run u up to reception/restraunt or down to beach the driver us fun and he always smiles and chats. Book this hotel and there will be no regrets it's fab cannot wait to be back in our swim up room 9116 . Thanks again for An absolutly fabulous stay Sue and Alan

Our third trip to Sunrise Diamond and the best experience so far. After trying a different hotel last year we went back to Sunrise Diamond for a third time. The hotel has really surprised us with another level of service. The staff really looked after us especially Chef Araby, Wahead, Mani, Islam Ibrahim and the spa teams. Also special mention to the watch shop owner who made me coffee everyday no hassle genuinely friendly. The rooms are great especially the big bathroom. Beds are hard but really comfortable with ice cold air conditioning. The room was restocked daily with soft drinks and fresh fruit. The cleaning team were first class. We love the location on the side of a cliff great views. The restaurants are amazing all clean and fresh. We love the Italian 3 trips, Mongolian 2 times and the Egyptian by the sea. Fantastic food great portions. The sushi at the Mongolian was divine. The pool area we found a cabana everyday without having to rush out early c1030 am. The pool does get noisy with the entertainment team who are very respectful if you say no to joining in. Their is an adult only pool if you want to avoid the party times 11 -1230 daily. All other times are chilled. The poolside team came around to take orders which was great. Red flags are obeyed if you don’t want any hassle. The entertainment is available with singers at breakfast and dinner at the main restaurant and night time shows at the theatre. We like the hotel being close to old town. £20 return which is available in reception they agree a time or shop to collect you if you have no phone. Our room was 11101 which was fantastic close to everything with a sea view albeit with a hedge in the way but this gave us privacy and views. This hotel just delivers and very clean no sickness for the third time in a row. Thank you to all the staff who made us feel very special especially on my birthday and the efforts they went too. “Bit of a let down”

Paid for a deluxe swim-up room, was given block 9, room 9121. Interior of the room very clean thanks to the efforts of our cleaner, Mohamed. Paid for a deluxe swim-up room, was given block 9, room 9121. Interior of the room very clean thanks to the efforts of our cleaner, Mohamed. As for the exterior, the swim-up walls are sun-damaged and cracked, tiles in the pool cracked and bunched up with filler rails broken (more on this later). Guests frequently cut through past your beds because they can’t be bothered to take the extra few steps to their room. Other blocks next to ours had bushes all the way from the pool edge to the room wall, preventing this happening. The pool waiters are very good at bringing drinks to you, and towels are serviced regularly for fresh ones. There is a bus that runs the boundary of the property every few minutes; without it, you would struggle to get around the hotel as reception bars and most of the à la carte are at the top of some killer stairs. Staff are brilliant: Hany in the Mongolian restaurant, which was our favourite. Shady in the Gamila restaurant, where we had breakfast/dinner most days because the main buffet is a zoo! Kids are being allowed to run round, skate on the heelies, food dropped everywhere; it’s a nightmare. Adults-only section very nice, serviced by Mina, the bar man, as everywhere in Egypt, beaches are small with shallow water. On our 11th day, management decided without warning to drain our swim-up to replace missing rails. After complaining to the hotel management, we were given a complimentary late check-out and an apology via email. The hotel staff are worth 5 stars as they can’t do enough; I don’t think the hotel is a 5-star; it needs a lot of renovation.

“Let Down”

Stayed at this hotel June 26. Paid for deluxe swim up room, was clean tidy. Our cleaner Ahmed was brilliant. Not deluxe though. People constantly passing by our loungers short cut to their rooms. Not easy to get about all restaurants up steep hill or steps, apart from beach front one. Not wheelchair friendly. All speciality restaurants good staff brilliant. Buffet restaurant was chaotic kids running all over. All toilets outside restaurants, some closed nights on end. Lack of toilet roll and hand towels, reported to reception. Entertainment really poor no kids allowed in sport bar, yet in main outdoor entertainment kids allowed whilst adults openly smoked shish pipes, which absolutely stunk. Supposed to be English style pub, laughable. Nobody ever in it playing loud music??. Thanks to great service from. Zayed bar, Mustafa. And Hany in Mongolian restaurant. Supposed to have beach, couldn't find it.
