“Perfect holiday with 2 teenagers ”

Just come back from a week at aurora oriental. We loved it! Rooms were basic/slightly dated but fine and gave you what you needed, comfy bed, aircon, fridge, kettle, etc. Pools were great, plenty of space and beds. Beach was beautiful 😍 and so chilled. Bar staff were fab, after a while, know your orders before you even get to the bar to order. Food was fantastic, by far the best all inclusive food we've ever had. Every meal was fresh hot and different. Other places we've stayed it has just been lots of carbs with limited protein on offer. But here there was so much on offer, including the outdoor bbq on at lunch and dinner offering burgers, steaks, fish, crab. After our first day mohamed in the restaurant was always our server for drinks. He often saw us walking in and had our drinks ready at our preferred table and was very attentive thoughout, he made sure we always had a drink and our table was clear of plates. Animation was entertaining. Different acts on each night either in the amphitheatre or the beach - our favourite was the fire show on the beach. Would love to see more shows on the beach as its was such a nice atmosphere in the evenings. Jamal from sea world dive club (watersports and excursions on the beach) was lovely, we booked all our trips through him - on the advice of another guest, whos been visiting the hotel for 20 years!! We booked scuba diving at ras mohamed, quad biking and camel rides in the desert, and paragliding on the beach. All of them were great fun and cheaper though jamal then with our travel provider. All in all a fantastic holiday and we're already looking at going back next year for longer!

at first when we arrived we were slightly disappointed by the front entrance as didn't look to appealing but it was the definition of don't judge a book by ots cover the hotel is absolutely beautiful inside the gardens are gorgeous .. there's also loads of little white birds put during the day and their spo lovely to look at and watch. we where in the rooms near the front entrance which was at the side of the relax pool we had the ground floor room were we were metres away from the pool the kids loved it . the barman was lovely and helpful and soo was the lifeguard/towel man . both very friendly can't remember their names unfortunately ..pool was lovely and very quiet .we were there for 14 nights . but only went to the big pool once as it was too busy and loud for us . the kids had soo much fun . our room cleaner was amazing his name was GABR MASR and I must say out of the 8 times we've been to egypt he's been the best and most efficient room cleaner we have had soo far . the animation team were always great with the kids always friendly .. kids were always at the kids club every morning . from 10am to 12.30 .I will day one downfall was the mini disco for the kids never started on time or it would finish earlier than normal. very disorganised .other than that it was great for the kids . the food was okay but that's cause I live of rice chicken and chips . soo does the kids but they had pizza which was good for my son . they also had hot croissants and pancakes in the morning which kids found great also had hard Rock cafe next door to it and also mcdonalds and KFC across the road basically . soo choice was good . all in all I would deffo recommend this hotel . were booking back up for either October or April thanks again

We thought that overall the hotel exceeded our expectations. Whilst the hotel is not 5 star we did not pay 5 star prices. The rooms are slightly tired but comfortable and very clean. We had a special request before we arrived and the hotel provided a room to cater for this request. We always found something to eat in the restaurant and all the staff in the restaurant work really hard to provide an exceptional service. All the food is freshly cooked to a good standard. The drinks in the bars are all local but this did not bother us and we always found something we liked. The hotel grounds are lovely and we liked the beach. The entertainment staff work hard. The one down side was one of the entertainment staff called Roody and this person lived up to her name. When my son plucked up the courage to play the piano in the lobby ( he’s a shy 15 year old but can actually play the piano) she flippantly told us no and when we pleaded with her she literally marched off leaving him distraught, embarrassed and upset. Hopefully someone can remind her that her role is to be pleasant to the guests and to not let her obvious ego and sense of self importance upset the guests she is paid to entertain. Maybe she should work one day in the restaurant and see how hard the staff in this area work to provide good service .

I have to say lovely hotel down side no lifts so hard for my husband with walking stick no buggy to beach another problem for my husband too far for him to walk there and back the food was ok what I didn’t understand was we went all inclusive but one of the bars we had to pay for drinks but I have to say the staff absolutely brilliant so kind and helpful the pool staff so kind and helpful the dining room staff couldn’t do enough for you always smiling and having a laugh with us bar staff new us so well they remembered our drink soon as they saw us were fetching them the room was lovely the bathroom I wish I’d had a walk in shower as very awkward to climb in and out of the bath the young man our cleaner was brilliant always checking if we needed anything I can honestly say that if things were amended we would go back but unfortunately if not too many problems for us regarding getting about thanks to everyone for making us so welcome moarren and Mohamed think I’ve spelt it correctly
