“Great location and an excellent value.”

Great hotel in an amazing location. Easy walk to everything we wanted to see. Service was outstanding. We were in a “superior” room which was very well designed. The lounge bar and outdoor patio are an excellent spot to start/end your day. Incredible value for the cost. Would highly recommend.

This is a very good hotel. The location is excellent - next to Dijon’s old town and best tourist sites, the best restaurants and bars, and the shopping streets. We had a suite - luxurious, spacious and modern. The bathroom was good with great amenities. Check-in/out was efficient. Breakfast was good with an ample and high quality spread. The bar and the restaurant have a good wine list. Food at dinner was good not exceptional. The service - both in the room as well as in the bar & restaurant was quick and efficient. But the hotel has little soul. All the people were polite, helpful and efficient. But the smiles were artificial and there was little warmth and genuineness - that’s why a 4 and not a 5 rating. Will still recommend the hotel as the best luxury option to explore Dijon.

Lots of pluses. It's a lovely building in a great location. Our room was quiet at night and pleasant enough with a comfortable bed, a well-appointed bathroom and separate loo, and excellent air-conditioning (it was 39C while we were staying!). Breakfast was tasty and a good experience, sitting in the pretty garden. Most staff are friendly and efficient. However, some niggles. We had a major problem with the deposit card authorisation process, the details of which are too tedious to go into and was only rectified and refunded by the hotel following a heated 'discussion' and after one member of staff bluntly told me that I needed to go away and sort it out with my bank! Other issues? A light snack meal in the bar took over an hour to arrive  - it seems there's a shortage of kitchen staff. For both problems, we were offered a complimentary drink, but I'd have preferred such problems had not arisen! Another evening in the bar, there was massively loud music pounding from an adjacent function room - hardly relaxing.  Plus, there was irritating maintenance noise in the next room to ours on various occasions. If we'd been staying in a B&B at €100 per night, no problem, I'd willingly take these issues on the chin, but this is rated as 5 star and is much more expensive. A handful of tweaks and I'd say this hotel would justify its star rating and hefty nightly price tag.

Stayed here for four nights and arrived on my birthday. Was a bit disappointed that we didn’t get an upgrade and the reception was a bit surly. The supposed superior king room was a bit small. No luggage rack and very little closet space but when my husband asked for a luggage rack one was delivered. Wish I caught the name of the individual who helped us with that because he was very responsive and helpful. There was no shower curtain so water got everywhere in the bathroom and though I love a deep soaking tub, it was a bit dangerous getting in and out. And the towel warmer didn’t work. I did enjoy the complimentary water everyday though the minibar did not chill in any way. The workout room is very small with an elliptical and treadmill one the ground floor and bike and weights upstairs. The elliptical was functional but annoying. There was no place to put your phone because the panel was a flat screen. That said, there were towels and water. I had read previous reviews about the spa experience so was able to reserve ahead of time and it was nice to access the small pool, sauna, hammam and sensory shower. The room was nice and bright and it was great to be able to open up the windows. Although the morning we left we had an infestation of flies. I hope that was just a strange anomaly. Not sure I would return or recommend though admittedly the location was extremely convenient.
