Loved it and the folks running it were so helpful I would recommend it no problem. Clean and bright with a good wholesome breakfast, and excellent bike storage facilities but what makes it is the pleasantness and helpfulness of the folks running it - nothing was a problem - we needed a phone shop he goes and writes down directions, we need to clean our bikes he gives us cloths, we will be in late .. not a problem he will leave the key on the counter. We were treated like royalty - thanks a lot it was great.

“Most bike friendly hotel ever”

We stayed for two nights in this delightful hotel. It’s clean and rooms are bright. Breakfast is very good. What sets this hotel apart is how cycle friendly it is. There’s plenty of room for the bikes and they even provide basic tools for maintenance.

We spent three nights in this hotel, and in summary, found it nice. We arrived by car, and in the description of the hotel, it said parking in the street just outside. True, but all parking slots were filled with cars, so we drove to the end of the quay and found a public parking area with free parking (at least off season). Check-in and -out was fast and friendly. As we got a room on the third floor and the hotel doesn't have an elevator, the man at the reception helped us carry up one of our suitcases. Good service! The room had lots of space and a window overlooking the marina in the river outside. The bathroom was very small and things were not placed all that practical, e.g. the hairdryer just opposite the toilet, which made us stumble into it and starting the blower unintentionally. Quite noisy when in the middel of the night. The floor in the room was quite un-leveled (downhill from the window), but considering it was an old house, we found it charming. The room had been renovated recently, and was clean and well-kept. The only minus was lack of ventilation, making it quite damp after each night. Sleeping quality was fine, although the double bed was a bit narrow for two people. The free wifi worked well, and TV likewise, but we missed a little water boiler for making tea or coffee. There was nobody at the reception at night (and sometimes during daytime), so we had to carry the room key with us all the time. To access the front door at night, we had to use a code to open it. Breakfast was fine with a fair selection, but only cold food. The acoustics in the breakfast room was not so good, so when e.g. a group of people was talking loud, it was quite noisy. All in all a very good stay at a reasonable price. The location relative to the town centre is good, with short walking to most attractions and restaurants.
