Nice situation right in the sea with lovely views from the balcony. Hood selection at breakfast and good dinner too. Rooms are well appointed and comfortable. Was a bit dead when we visited - outdoor bar not open and very few other guests, too cold to use the very nice swimming pool- but I think we were still in the low season.

“promises 3*, but more like 2/5*.”

This hotel is about 3 kms out of Ajaccio. Easy access and good parking. The room was basic for a 3* hotel. No fridge or kettle. This hotel is about 3 kms out of Ajaccio. Easy access and good parking. The room was basic for a 3* hotel. No fridge or kettle. Bathroom tired, shower hanging off wall, no complementary bath/shower products. Plenty of nice, soft towels. Bed soft but comfortable. Good sized balcony terrace overlooking the sea. Beach was not sandy as shown in the pictures - more like rubble - very uncomfortable underfoot and if wanting to sit or swim. Breakfast was pricey (as is the whole of Corsica,seemingly), dinner menu ok, but not interesting enough to encourage us to eat in. There are several restaurants and pizzerias further down the road towards Ajaccio, and these were a more varied quality. The hotel itself is not beautiful, it leans towards the Brutalist style of architecture or post-war concrete style.

The hotel is a flat-topped building of little architectural merit. It is built on the sea shore, but where the beach is particularly stony. The hotel is a flat-topped building of little architectural merit. It is built on the sea shore, but where the beach is particularly stony. The views of the bay of Ajaccio are spectacular, and in particular the tower of Parata and the islands Sanguinaires are well visible. Rooms are built like barracks, and if you don't book one with a sea view, you will look onto the rear of another room (not very scenic at all). Staff are friendly and if you wish to dive, the local fraternity will teach you all you need to know. The food is quite tasty, but a bit limited in choice. There is a menu in English & German. The beds are comfortable, but beware if you are a non-smoker that the room is well ventilated and cleaned. Some tiles in our bathroom were rather shoddily repaired. Access to the beach was not well signposted, and there was very little space to lie on sand. (The near-by Palm Beach was much nicer and sandier) There is nothing to do near the hotel, so you are a bit stuck there, although the bus no. 5 (from Ajaccio Place de Gaulle) stops right at the hotel (cost 1 Euro only!). A ticket with the bus is transferable to bus no. 1,2 or 3 if you want to travel to the station for the small gauge train to Bastia or Calvi, or take the no, 8 bus to the Airport (5 Euro).
