We have stayed at this hotel several times over the years, and once again the hotel itself impressed us. The location is simply outstanding, right by Agosta Beach, with beautiful sea views that are hard to beat. We stayed in a Premium Room, which was spacious, very comfortable, spotlessly clean, and offered a wonderful view over the bay. The reception staff were warm, professional, and welcoming throughout our stay. Based on the hotel, the rooms, the cleanliness, and the location alone, I would happily give this property five stars. Unfortunately, the food and beverage operation tells a completely different story. Breakfast was a major disappointment. With the exception of one older lady who has been working there for years and was clearly doing her very best, the breakfast team appeared poorly organised and unmotivated. Tables often remained uncleared for more than 15 minutes while guests waited for somewhere to sit, or ended up clearing tables themselves and searching for cutlery, cups, or glasses. The breakfast selection was equally disappointing and far below what one would expect from a Radisson Blu hotel. There were virtually no Corsican specialties, only two kinds of industrial cheese, very limited fresh fruit, and melons that were so hard they were practically inedible. Throughout breakfast, essential items such as milk, bread, cutlery, cups, or glasses repeatedly ran out and were not replenished for 10–20 minutes. This level of service might be acceptable in a budget hotel, but it is certainly not what guests expect from a Radisson Blu. We also had dinner in the restaurant on one evening. Sadly, it was equally disappointing: unimaginative, canteen-style cooking that lacked both quality and character. On an island with such an excellent culinary tradition, this was a missed opportunity. Overall, this is a wonderful hotel that is unfortunately let down by its restaurant and breakfast service. If management invested the same care in the food and beverage department as they clearly do in the hotel itself, this would easily be one of the best places to stay near Ajaccio.

“Nice and small hotel near a beautiful beach in Corsica”

Modern hotel on the beautiful Agosta beach. The rooms are airy and clean. A/C and WiFi worked well throughout the hotel with the exception of the gym were the A/C was faulty for the entire length of our stay. Modern hotel on the beautiful Agosta beach. The rooms are airy and clean. A/C and WiFi worked well throughout the hotel with the exception of the gym were the A/C was faulty for the entire length of our stay. We found it surprising that there were no drawers in the room and no racks on the balcony to dry the swimming suits. Good selection of food and drinks for breakfast. Staff were very friendly and polite; a big shout out to the Moldovan ladies that were cleaning the rooms, they were doing an amazing job. Small but nice spa and outdoor swimming pool. Porticcio with lots of restaurants, a supermarket and a souvenirs market is just 5 min away by car. We had dinner only once at the hotel and can confirm that service was rather slow as there were 3 waiting staff looking after about 20 customers. Overall, we had a great time in Corsica and came back with lots of happy memories.

“Trading on its great location and felt too corporate”

Pros - superb location overlooking a long beach, contemporary rooms with large bathroom and balcony, lovely restaurant terrace, large pool area. However ****park by the hotel reception door and after the first 6 hours it is 10 euros a day, not speaking French we did not realise this at the barrier when we arrived so quickly moved the car, plenty of free spaces in front of the hotel and it felt inappropriate for a hotel not in a city or town looking to protect its parking area. The restaurant was short staffed when a large group or conference were also dining, which happened the week we were there with forgotten wine order and a long wait to order food, the restaurant inside was completely soulless for evening meals if the temperature dips although fine for breakfast, large lobby areas feel corporate and vacant of any sort of use or purpose, pool bar only open at the weekend. We were given a room with a solid wall for the balcony not a glass one and very plastic hard chairs that were very uncomfortable to sit on - not as shown for the room on the website photos and we really should have asked to move, the hotel was quiet with plenty of unused rooms we could see so why we were given this room is a mystery as I suspect they are the least popular sea facing options. As a Radisson loyalty member it was bizarre to find you have one of the worst rooms for the category paid for. You also do not get free spa access without booking the correct room level so be aware. In conclusion we felt the hotel traded on its location a little too much but was a good base for the area.
