We stayed at Hotel Splendid for 4 nights, we asked for a quiet room and that's what we got, it was at the back of the hotel, not a great view but a nice little balcony that got the afternoon sun. A bit of updating in the rooms would be nice but they are clean and the bed was very comfortable and bathroom was spotless, I would of preferred a different hairdryer but that's just me being fussy, the ones on the wall take a long time to dry my thick hair. Staff are wonderful , all are polite and helpful and big shout out to Juliana on reception she is so friendly .Breakfast was plentiful and a good selection. The rooftop restaurant/pool are a bonus. I will definitely be returning to this hotel.

If you love walking this hotel is in a superb location in Nice. So it's roughly: 5 mins from the tram station (Alsace-Lorraine). The tram takes roughly 25 mins from Nice airport and the single ticket price was €1.70. Do make sure you get on the correct tram! 8 mins to the beach. 10 mins to Nice ... more

If you love walking this hotel is in a superb location in Nice. So it's roughly: 5 mins from the tram station (Alsace-Lorraine). The tram takes roughly 25 mins from Nice airport and the single ticket price was €1.70. Do make sure you get on the correct tram! 8 mins to the beach. 10 mins to Nice Ville mainline railway station. 20 mins to the old own (Flower market, etc) 25 mins to the Marc Chagal museum. The hotel, while once splendid in its prime, now displays rooms that are slightly worn out. However, despite this, they remain perfectly comfortable and offer ample hot water. The hotel's standout feature undoubtedly lies in its exceptional staff. Furthermore, the 8th-floor restaurant boasts stunning city views, which we enjoyed during a delightful breakfast, complemented by excellent and attentive service. This level of hospitality extends to the reception staff, who were incredibly accommodating. Overall, I would not hesitate to return for another visit.

Having your birthday in January means always leaving England! I stayed at the hotel with my mother for my 42nd Birthday in January. Great location and comfortable room. Having your birthday in January means always leaving England! I stayed at the hotel with my mother for my 42nd Birthday in January. Great location and comfortable room. We were very kindly upgraded to a Deluxe room upon arrival. Staff were very lovely and spoke impeccable English. I would say, take earplugs for sleeping. Lots of scooters zooming up and down the streets and our room didn't have double glazing - which wasn't a major issue but it does let in a lot of outside noise.

Stay at this splendid hotel recently, have to say a lovely hotel, in a great location, the staff are super friendly and willing to help anyway they can to make your stay more comfortable, just how it should be. The rooftop bar and views are just breathtaking, especially at night. The rooms although a little dated ,in my opinion, do what they are supposed to, it's close to the tram, and the front is a five minute walk away, hard to fault if I'm being honest. We will return to Nice next year and this hotel is where we will stay.
