“Best hotel in the area”

We searched round looking for place to stay in this area and finally ended up here. Ended up being worth the time spent searching as this turned out to be a lovely hotel, very friendly, clean and great outdoor seating and gardens

“Soundproofing in rooms is poor”

We stayed in the Tribe section of the hotel, for three nights. We booked three rooms. Our room was a bit on the small side, with only one bedside table. There was a small balcony. There was an interconnecting door to the room next door, yet we weren't given rooms next door to one another, which was strange. We think the room next to ours was empty for two of the nights, but on the third night, it was occupied and the soundproofing was terrible! I was also quite upset when our neighbour tried to open the adjoining door when they arrived, but luckily I'd checked it was locked. The hotel is situated on the outskirts of the town, so expect a 45 minute walk to the centre and a lack of buses. Also, we were surprised to find most of the shops in the town closed all day on Monday and Tuesday. Breakfast was fine, with an adequate choice of foods, but there was a lack of tables available for groups of more than two. As there were four of us, this was annoying. We ate at the restaurant one evening, one member of staff being particularly attentive and helpful. We found it difficult to find veggie options in France in general, but this hotel did offer a couple of options.My son enjoyed the pool and said it was clean. In view of the soundproofing problems in the rooms, I probably won't return.

It could be nice... The hotel is far from the town centre, and grouped together with IBIS and Mercure. It is a nice building complex with a holiday feeling courtyard and a garden. If only. The outside bar was never in use, it served as a storage place. The garden looked nice from afar, but was not really looked after. Things start to get rusty or fall apart. The rooms are clean with comfortable beds, but they are tiny ! You can either have a bedside table, or open the fridge. But you can't have both. You cannot open the door to the balcony fully as you hit the bed. So one person goes out, closes the door, the second person goes past the bed, opens the door, goes out. Ridiculous. There was no soap by the sink, mentioned this twice to the receptionist. Nothing happened. Second day I asked a maid directly. Problem solved. There was a cigarette butt on the balcony. It was still there when we left. Once we ordered two coffees to drink outside. The waitress said she'll bring them to us, those coffees never came. When I went back in I was told she finished her shift... Breakfast is what the French call a "Parcours du combattant". There are not enough tables, tables are not being cleared, staff runs around empty handed, the buffet space is way too small to serve three hotels, there are three coffee machines which are extremely slow, often out of hot milk, queues everywhere, really terrible and not relaxing at all ! The indoor pool is lovely, the hotel is dog friendly and parking is not a problem. But given the price we paid, I would not recommend this hotel complex.
