We arrived at the resort in April and found the check-in process to be very quick and straightforward. We were given the Wi-Fi password on arrival, but unfortunately, when we got to our apartment, it didn’t work. We informed reception, and a technician came to take a look. He managed to get it working briefly (about five minutes), but the issue wasn’t resolved. In the end, we had to sit outside the neighbouring apartment to use their Wi-Fi—luckily, it was unoccupied. The apartment itself was quite small, even though it was advertised as suitable for five people. We were a family of four. Upstairs, there was one bedroom and a bathroom, while downstairs had a kitchen/living area with a sofa bed and a separate toilet. The stairs were very steep and narrow, which might be difficult for some guests. One of the highlights was the three resident ducks that visited us throughout the day—we couldn’t resist feeding them! The indoor pool was very large and featured a slide, with wave sessions every hour, which was great fun. Do note that only Lycra swimming trunks are allowed—guests are not permitted to swim in regular swimming shorts. We didn’t use the outdoor pool as it was closed during our stay. The holiday park itself was very quiet in April. The on-site shop was quite small, but there is a supermarket just down the road, which was convenient. We also walked to the local beach, which took about 15 minutes.

Lovely resort to stay in, but there are several things to consider. We booked a two bedroom house for a family of four. The house was clean, but the staircase is incredibly narrow, and the stairs creaked. With the toilet being downstairs, people did not want to go down during the evening. The aquapark is lovely, but VERY strict on its rules. Men have to wear tight trunks and won't even be allowed in the pool areas without them. No bags allowed by the pool, but the positive was no flies, or wasps. (there is a reasonably prices snack bar that you can get to. The resort, and the town of Fort Mahon are both lovely, but this is much more of a french tourist area as opposed to an international tourist area. We found very few places spoke English, and although many local restaurants (including the one on site) have very little for vegetarians/pescatarians. We only found one restaurant that would make a Pasta, and when we asked for it with tomato sauce, they put a bottle of ketchup in front of us.... This is effectively a centre parcs, so if you are not sporty, or active, this may not be the place for you. Unlikely to return, but that is because of the type of break we want, and how much we struggled with food.

The houses were very beautiful and charming outside, but inside was really old and not clean enough. It really needs some renovation! We were not satisfied with the breakfast, as there was not enough options and also no healthy options at all. The swimmingpool was very nice, and we had many good hours here. The atmosphere was very good! The personnel didnt speak english at all, and we didnt speak french, so it was impossible to communicate. The wifi was really not working very well, bad connection.
